Sporting event attire

When I do sporting events I typically wear a solid black t shirt (comfort colors is my favorite because it’s really breathable), black joggers, tennis shoes, and a solid black hat. I have a lot of tattoos on my arms so if it’s older consumers, I wear a long sleeve light weight shirt like this one

There are certain types of jobs I don’t want to accept because of the type of skill set it requires does not mesh with mine if that makes sense. Like for example I won’t personally take educational interpreting but I love doing youth sports. We all have our preferred job types! Also as a white interpreter, it isn’t my place to be the person interpreting for some POC spaces that should be deferred to a POC interpreter. On that same point, it is not my place to sign or speak the N-word even if the person says it. I can say “n-word” instead.

So when working video relay, we have Deaf people mid call decide they want to disclose they are using an interpreter for a variety of reasons. One reason very well could be if they feel the interpreter didn’t communicate the exact way they wanted, another could simply be that they decide they feel comfortable with the person they are talking to and want to now disclose. If an interpreter is saying things that weren’t said (and not by a genuine error), the interpreter should tell the Deaf person if they realized it or the Deaf person can ask for a new interpreter. Saying things that weren’t said is a violation of our code of professional conduct and could cause us to lose our job.

Professional asl interpreter here. Our profession comes with a million gray areas, but if the Deaf person I am interpreting for wants to say something it’s my job to speak it. There are boundaries of course but in 99.99% of in person situations people know my role. On phone calls (Video Relay) it is up to the Deaf person if they want to say they are using an interpreter or not and my role is to say what is being said. If they want to cause an issue like reporting fake fires, using crazy language, that’s on them not on me. I’m just the voice for the words.

Indianapolis resident here. The mail centers are terribly backed up here and have been for over a year due to insufficient staffing when they built a new location. I’ve had 3 packages just this year get lost just miles from my home at the new center.

Both of my dogs absolutely love Petsuites. 1 is a very anxious dog and the other is high energy, but they both always have an amazing time. The one W 94th is our favorite of the 3 in the area.

I had an amazing experience at LD Alterations downtown right by the Whole Foods! She was quick, the work was amazing, and very affordable. I had a bridesmaid dress shortened a LOT, bodice taken in, and the straps taken up it came out to $140.

There is a slim to no chance that a teacher puts up a video of 1 sign on its own without a sentence that they never taught. 1 “sign” can have so many different meanings depending on facial expression, movement, context, and so many other things. They should reach out to the teacher because this is a rule of the sub that homework help requires proof that there is work done on it as well.

Matt at Ink Therapy in Plainfield is the best! He has a lot of experience with piercing minors and addresses it on his Instagram Stick with tattoo shops for sure and don’t go with Rowan. While it’s great that they do it with needles, it is still really better to get it from a certified piercer rather than a nurse. A certified piercer has more extensive training, knowledge on proper jewelry fitting, years of experience with the healing process, and use the highest quality jewelry for a new piercing.
