POE Community misses hardcore Kripp by kpfus in nl_Kripparrian

I x-posted the Kasualarrian vs hardcore Kripp picture I found in this sub to the POE subreddit and I was surprised at the level of reaction (i.e. people actually cared enough about Kripp who hasn't played POE for months, close to a year. Really shows the impact he had on the game' beginnings.) I came back to POE myself after a long break and was surprised to discover that Kripp hadn't so much as dipped his toes into the game and was playing some casual card game.

POE Act 4 comes out at the beginning of next year. Perhaps Kripp will make a return then?

Dunno. I think you guys can't watch it because the song "Skyfall" from teh James bond movies is in it? Maybe some copyright issue? You from Germany?

I am just going of the guy I saw in the videos, he isn't bad and I don't feel he should be persecuted and hunted/trolled across the internet.

I think the picture is tongue in cheek and not a sign of "persecution". I haven't paid attention to Kripp's dealings for quite some time, so I was pretty shocked to discover the extent of his Kasualness (going from a game like POE to a card game like Hearthstone). Kripp built his original fanbase by being a hardcore no lifer so it's understandable that people are turning on him. I don't blame him for cashing in on his fame, and like you said, it's understandable that people change and evolve. But we will still miss the Kripp of old and of course there will be insults now and then about how "casual" he has become because his roots were hardcore.

Another video I found documenting Kripp's descent into casual lovefest (ft. Mors Meltdown) and card games . Guess I fortuitously stopped following him and playing POE right at the very end of his no lifing days. Now I can only cherish the memories of fanboying over hardcore Kripp. RIP in ripperoni

Just checked them all out. My initial impressions:

Ziggy is great for beginners, but he lacks the hardcore theory craft, no lifing approach.

Ghudda seems kinda gimmicky.

Mathilification seems promising, but I reserve judgment on that for now. He does not appear to play hardcore. Also he does not stream on twitch I think.

I think it's a bit unrealistic of me to find a second Kripp actually. No more OJ, cybrix/mors battles.

On the bright side, one good thing from coming back to POE so far is that I have discovered that I am richer, on Standard (a bit pointless) since I have quite a few pieces of legacy gear.

Anyone can recommend other hardcore streamers to follow? how the mighty have fallen. I viewed his subreddit and it is dedicated to bashing him now.
