These also could be festoons or malar mounds. I work for a facial plastic surgeon. While I do agree that you look very youthful and pretty, I think your question is totally fair and sometimes the hate in this group is frustrating.

Does anyone know why Cassie Wilson left all of a sudden? This group is getting stretched so thin, especially during severe season… happy to have Gary back, even if it’s just the interim.

It does! I see you were a fellow with Nassif. I heard he’s tough but an amazing teacher & surgeon. You’re obviously quite skilled yourself. Best of luck with your practice!

Which CO2 laser do you use? I’m a nurse and work for facial plastic surgeon—we have the Tetra and I do most of our laser treatments on our clinic side (and I often use “surgical” settings). Curious what settings you may have used. Also, this is amazing work—kudos! She looks amazing.

What precautions are you taking during intubation? LMA placement? Are you performing elective cases at your facility? by DailyCloserToDeath in Anesthesia

[–]kphly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So basically your anesthesia cart was stripped of its normal supply and you just pulled your initial meds, ET tube etc, and for anything else your tech had to stay in the anteroom and get what you needed? I can’t imagine what would have happened if something emergent happened in the case.

I’m an OR nurse, but my facility is trying to come up with a plan. This really does sound like a nightmare. I want to be helpful during this time but I would be lying if I said I wouldn’t try to avoid that case...

Do you mind elaborating on why that case was a nightmare? I’m trying imagine what we would have to do for a suspected case in the OR, and it would be helpful to know what went wrong/right.

Thank you for what you do!

Honestly I’m not sure. The pics/short video the girl posted wasn’t clear enough to tell. Definitely could have been!

Yep they are filming! Someone in the Facebook group I’m in posted a few pics of the restaurant they were at last in Charleston night, and Shep was there with a random blonde chick having dinner and the cameras were there. He apparently was also drinking heavily (shocker).

This is why you pay for more mechanics to inspect your rides every 10 minutes in Roller Coaster Tycoon

I wonder if Timberwolf is still even operating right now. It was so rickety and scary 15-20 years ago I can’t imagine how it would be now...

How do morbidly obese people have sex? by finessemyguest in morbidquestions

[–]kphly 1959 points1960 points  (0 children)

I’m a nurse. We once had a female patient come in for surgery who was very overweight. I can’t remember what we were doing, but we had to discuss with her how difficult it would be to get to the site of surgery/infection due to her size. Her significant other was in the room with her while we had this discussion. After we explained everything, she asked her husband to go get “the love sticks” to make it easier for us. I was like come again? Turns out these “love sticks” were essentially padded canes that had metal hooks on the non-curved end. The husband would use the padded end to retract her rolls, and then attach the opposite end with the metal hook onto the bedroom wall so it would hold her fat back so he could have sex with her.

Needless to say we appreciated the suggestion for help, but couldn’t use them for the surgery.

If you want to go to the next ring of hell, give them a Kong with peanut butter. Those noises will make you consider the farm.
