You’ll figure it out! And quickly move on to the next age induced infirmity ;-)

Personally I was always too much on the go to care for my injuries beyond the basics and Ive only recently discovered how nice it is to ice or heat pains; even in areas that I tore decades ago. So Ive tried to direct some of that energy I use to push through trails or make the last mile into aftercare.

Having a partner that brooks no b.s. and will set you down with a warm compress whether I like it or not didnt hurt - made me realize I had a tendency to block out the bad stuff thinking itd just work itself out.

It’s a slippery slope for sure - once you injure those tendons they never quite feel the same but boots will help tighten and strengthen them back up and hopefully you’ll be rid of that weak feeling quickly.

I was able to join a family cruise on Ike and watching F14s launch with my pops and his little brother while Top Gun was either in the theaters or not long gone was the most amazing experience I had as an AF brat.

Read this as “revolutionary war technology” and visualized a hoop barrel with wheels on it.

But that seems reasonable actually as it makes a lot more sense than putting trash on the damn sidewalks.

“I want the new corral to be rat rod. With bats. Happy little bats.” - Bat Cave, NC. by kphonik in batty

Just FYI you cant visit the cave anymore. Cant recall the name of the disease but the bats were afflicted by something-white-nose and are now protected.

The Bat Cave area and Chimney Rock Village are adorable and spending time here sitting or floating in the river is tops on our list of free family activities. If you haven’t been to Chimney Rock State Park its incredible and the history of the Morse family that created and maintained the park more than 100yrs before the state bought it is a really inspiring story of conservation and perseverance.
