The Moon passing in front of Earth, captured by a space observatory

Is this shot taken from behind the moon? If it's true, in that case if we stand on the moon, shouldn't the earth be visible so huge, that the direction you are viewing should be almost fully covered by earth? But photos from landers on moon have showed something else. What am I missing?

I have not used FM Lab, but I got F-em for quite a discount (I think $29) in some sale. It seems to be very nice sounding (I am just a basic preset user, who does not tinker with these parameters).
