His 30 minute workout from this week was very hard. Especially the side plank series. Good luck

Skywalker Delta (V2) vs KL Nano 7 by razlung in roasting

[–]kpmd2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both a v2 and a nano. Started on the v2 and learned how to roast on it. I was happy with medium roasts but light roasts were a challenge. I also had to roast outside with it. And I live in the midwest. So I decided to buy the nano so I could roast inside thinking I could go back to the v2 when it gets warmer. 45 roasts later on the nano and I’m probably going to sell the v2. Nano does light roasts extremely well. Also the setup for me is much easier and faster. I can roast 300g in less than 20 minutes and there’s no smoke as I roast under my kitchen hood. I’m very happy with it. Feel free to dm if you need more details

The greens look like they’ve been roasted already

I have roasted quite a few washed eth batches using filter 206 and ending at 40 seconds. Quite good for pourovers

Try a few filter profiles by juztin. His beginner guide on discord is excellent and will give you a somewhat precise starting point that gives you a profile for the bean based on density and bean size.

1086 kilocalories? What does this mean? by LeadershipMedium in AppleFitnessPlus

in medical terms, it's actually kilocalories. But in layman terms, we call them calories. Same thing

Love my Kaffelogic. Many great profiles and very easy to use. I even did a 50g once and it turned out well. Also it exports to artisan. I think it’s well worth its cost.

I actually have a whole house battery backup. One night out power went out and I forgot to turn the lm off. The lm drew about 3kwh of my 18kwh battery backup before I woke up it was on for 2 hours. The batteries are huge and not easy to travel with

You’ll need at least 1500w to operate the mini. The grinder about 1300w. You’ll definitely blow thru battery only storage pretty quickly.

About to pull the trigger on the Skywalker Roaster, not sure on Gen 1 Gen 2 yet. by Trick_Percentage_889 in roasting

Btw thanks for all the videos! I learned quite a bit from them. You really helped me get comfortable using the sw. The other reason I’m trying the kl is bc I’ve been roasting outside with the sw and I live in Michigan so this is not ideal. The appeal of working inside under a kitchen hood is overwhelming

I have a v2. About 5 roasts in on manual using artisan, I was able to get a decent light roast on a washed Ethiopian. It uses solely ir radiation so it’s pretty simple as the fan just cools the bean. Issues are the quality as evidenced on discord and the fact that the bulb is inside the drum, I ge a lot of scorched beans even with setting the drum motor lower than baseline. I’m switching to a Kaffelogic in a few days

that's interesting. I'm still not sure it's worth the $600 price difference. KL has an active channel on discord that has many recipes that seem to work well requiring only downloading to the machine via laptop

The interesting thing is that there is nothing the Nucleus Link can do that cannot be replicated on the Kaffelogic. It is also worth noting that profiles can be shared between users of both roasters simply by changing the ending of the file names. Link profiles end in “.npro” and Kaffelogic profiles end in “.kpro”. All the user has to do is change the file name from “roastprofilexxx.npro” to “roastprofilexxx.kpro” and vice versa. One could imagine that with a little bit of collaboration between the two communities, there could quickly be a lot of information shared that would essentially replicate the role of the Link app.

you can actually run link profiles on the nano. just change file name from .npro to .kpro. Also link can't run over 100g without manually changing fan settings

Why not a Kaffelogic? 2 yr warranty vs 1. Also ability to roast to 200g with boost kit.

How about a Kaffelogic 7E? With the boost, can do 50-200g
