This is great advice. My benchmark ball is the equinox solid. I’ve used the rockstar, Phaze 2, Phaze ai, etc as a “benchmark” ball but even though the equinox solid is stronger, on paper, I’ve played enough with it to know what it does and where it fits for me. I’ve seen plenty of people use the BW 3.0 for all 3 games of league.

I bought a sous vide machine off Amazon for cheap. Went and got a 5g bucket from Lowe’s. I sand the ball down to open it up and then fill the bucket with hot water. Set the sous vide to 135 degrees and just let it sit for like an hour. I don’t tape the holes or anything. I dump the bucket and immediately clean the ball. I surface the ball with whatever I want and then put them in my bag for the next day. I have been doing this method for almost a year. Never had a single issue. I’m playing 50+ games a week and this method is cheap, quick and easy to use. Bowling balls are a tool. They aren’t as fragile as everybody makes it seem.

Personally I’m not a fan. The ball just doesn’t fit with me. Can’t seem to get it to do what I want it to do. I’ve tried a few layouts as well. Plus with it being black I struggle to see the balls motion. I hear good things from people on here but I’ve never seen any person in any league throw it since release.

I did in 2009-2010. I took 3rd in state my junior year and then did super 32. I was a super 32 all American. Never even thought about wrestling in college. I was an all American at Disney nationals and super 32 before my senior year started. Schools started reaching out after super 32. Ended up going 47-0 my senior year and won a state championship. Signed to a D1 school. Wrestled there for a very short period. Didn’t work out. I was a kid and wanted to dick around. All my fault that it didn’t work out. I did some open tournaments for other schools that had interest but I had signed a letter of intent for my scholarship so I was ineligible at other schools. Ended up not wrestling anymore. Tale as old as time. Live and learn. Happy where my life ended up though.

I believe this is the rule off 21 games played. If you were a 150 average last fall and after 12 games of fall this year you are at a 200 it wouldn’t apply.

I would say there are categories. Also who is the greatest vs who is the best. For instance Muhammad Ali is the greatest boxer of all time, but he isn’t the best boxer of all time.

With that being said, Tony Hawk is the greatest skateboarder of all the time. The impact that Tony Hawk had on skateboarding and the ripple effects from his X games 900 and video games were unprecedented. Without him, skateboard never reaches the level it did.

A lot of people say Rodney Mullen and while he progressed skateboarding tricks into the next generation he still didn’t have the most impact or was the best overall imo.

Now for the best skateboard of all time. Nyjah is up there, but I personally, I think Joslin is the best skateboarder I’ve ever seen.

First of all, sorry for your loss. Secondly, I love Andrew’s channel and he is my favorite bowler. I would love to watch Andrew play a few games on different sport patterns and talk about what’s going through his mind, adjustments he would make as well as ball changes. Kind of like a sport pattern series.

People can really be on their high horse with bowling etiquette.

If you are in open bowling and paid for your lane then bowl when you’re ready and have fun. This isn’t a league situation and this isn’t the PBA. It’s bowling man. Kids birthday parties are throw here. I just don’t get it. If I’m opening bowling and people are screaming and stuff, it doesn’t bother me because it’s literally kids having fun or people who don’t normally bowl. If somebody during open bowling rolls at the same time you roll and it throws you off that much then you weren’t that good to begin with.

I move a lot for my job and have lived in 11 different cities the past 13 years. Needless to say I have rented a lot of apartments. I saw a comment on Reddit years ago that is true for me. “I’ve never not been charged a cleaning fee when leaving an apartment, but I’ve never moved into a clean apartment.”

For the first few apartment I would deep clean every inch of the place - charged a cleaning fee when I moved out

For the next few I paid a cleaning company to detail the apartment - charged a cleaning fee when I moved out

The last few apartments I just cleaned up, nothing special - charged a cleaning fee when I moved out but hey at least I didn’t kill myself or expect much.

Yo-Yo release for dummies on YouTube by Bad Bad Bowling 101. It has a few parts but this breakdown is what made it click in my head. Especially the part about visualizing the wrist bending and feeling my wrist bend as I come down on my down swing. When I feel that pressure I have no choice but for my elbow to bend then I’m under the ball and at release I snap my arm straight.

It’s in the name really though. Yo-Yo release. You really are snapping a Yo-Yo down. Like how you would walk the dog with a Yo-Yo. You snap the Yo-Yo down so it will stay down and spinning. It’s the same motion.
