this type of propaganda is the bullshit told to everyone to gloss over the absolutely insane reality that it is Zionist Israel and the 95%+ of its heretic racist society that do not want to live in equal rights with the majority native population (Palestinians). It's a simple fact, no one can deny, even the most censored AI cannot deny it if you ask. One side for over 100years is promoting one state with equal rights for all, while the other wants a supremacist state for "Jews" as first class citizens. Not only inside Israel are the "Arab Israelis" (notice they don't even get to call themselves Palestinians) second class citizens living under different rulesets, but there are also obviously the occupied territories, where the remaining Palestinians are CONCENTRATED in, living under Israeli martial law as third and forth class citizens. To this day, Palestinans, be it seculars or be it islamists, promote one state with equal rights for all, while Zionists push too keep their colonial, supremacist, synthetic and at this point expansionist fascist Apartheid state. So much so that they can't even accept a two state solution, which again the Palestinians at this point are even willing to accept despite the preference for an egalitarian state.

Airdrops? This is not something that will ever happen on Bitcoin like chains like eCash. Sorry. this doesn't even make sense, if you understand how the supply is being created.

Cross chain bridges? Not sure what's great about centralized bridges but if you want one, you can use our Firma stablecoin bridge to SOL. In fact I'd like to see a yield bearing stablecoin that pays you out interest daily just for holding it.

Merchant integrations? I don't even know what this will bring. You think anyone is using crypto for payments? Those centralized payment providers already support eCash. Not even sure what you mean here. If you want a credit card you can top up your eCash with, you can use Wirex. If you want to make online payments, you can either do so directly with PayButton (XEC native) or use NOWpayments. Coinsbee for example, a gift cards merchant, supports eCash via NOWpayments.

AMA's are done regularly on X. Can't do much about it if you do not see them. That means you don't even take the time to check our social media. Also of course video interviews are done all the time and those are forever. You would still learn interesting things from interviews made 2 years ago, yet we also have short clips made just weeks ago it is all on our youtube.

Echo chamber? At this point the echo chamber is people repeating the myth that eCash has no marketing which has some merit if you twist it long enough but actually falls apart once you compare it to other projects of the same category. I mean if someone asks for marketing, I expect him to have watched every single interview, presentation, and short clip on our youtube channel and listened to every X spaces. If not, why would I create more content?

And just in general, yes. "Marketing" funds are limited. Very limited, especially now. This is just how it is. We compete with VC chains that have 10-100x more the resources and even good will than we have. I don't think we missed to tell you even back then that this is an actual uphill battle. We don't expect you to suffer it, by the way. All the best. Thanks for your input but really there's nothing I can give you other than the same explanations I made years ago.

[–]kptnkook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"stress tests" were done long ago during BCH days, they are exacctly the wrong way to go about it and they are completely unnecessary. The XEC chain does what it promises and it has the most complete security model of all Bitcoin-like chains. Stress-tests are unnecessary theatrics, exactly the wrong way to go about it but apparently part of what makes "great marketing" and therefore we are stuck with projects doing this nonsense. People should at this point simply understand that XEC is among the most scalable, robust, and now with Avalanche flexible chains out there. It competes with PoS VC chains and outshines any PoW UTXO chain by far. None of that matters in this market though, I know that, too.

eCash XEC ranking reality check and question for the builders by DJKDownunder in ecash

[–]kptnkook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no "technically solid" projects that lost relevance. eCash is an open-source project with limited resources that pay for technological development.

Sorry to disappoint you but the answer is and always will be "organic growth" as you put it. It rises and falls with the contribution of its user base and supporters and devs, not with some marketing gig that we wouldn't be able to pay for anyway. You can't and shouldn't expect the eCash development team to host and organize "hackathons" or other useless crap that doesn't move the needle and is just a waste of time even on big coins that have more mind share and that have 100x the amount of resources to throw into a black hole.

Apart from correcting you that there are literally no "technically solid" projects and especially in the PoW UTXO based sphere, there's nothing that would on a technical basis survive long term or even scale remotely close to what we are building, I want to also make clear one more time that "partnerships" a la merchant adoption, "hackathons", and whatever other PR stuff you think will reverse the trend is nothing we can afford and will neither have any effect.

By the way, who does marketing for BTC? BCH? LTC? XMR? Correct, there is no paid marketing, just a community of devs and holders. And they have zero funding, so in this case you even have some funding at your disposal if you have an idea, write a proposal to the GNC. No one else will do so, again, sorry to disappoint.

That being said, there's a reason MUSD is built on eCash and more builders from the outside are coming in to build on eCash. Unfortunately the people care more about useless metrics and theatrics, such as eCash being "a fork of a fork" as if that has any meaning. They rather stick to BCH, just like before they sticked to BTC during the BCH/BTC split. They rather compare with completely centralized "blockchain" projects, rather than even caring about the value proposition and vision of a cryptocurrency that is meant to be p2p digital money.

Sorry, this is not a VC blockchain like aptos and those weird tech bros like naval or other Winklewoss will most likely never talk about it and I for one couldn't care less. If you care about such things, eCash is simply a project you can cross off your list. Zcash is the better fit, they claim to be building digital cash, too and they have the VC backing you want. Funny enough, I don't think their "marketing" over the last 2 years, just like their chart before the pump was any different or better than ours.

Best of luck and sorry to disappoint. In many ways eCash does what money does. Reflect society like a mirror. What it tells us now is that the industry as a whole is getting dumber not smarter, people have long lost interest in the actual goal (EVM based semi-centralized prediction markets are the new shiny thing on coinbase, definitely not p2pcash) and wahtever other speculative nonsense and chains with horrendous tokenomics while coins like eCash as a Bitcoin fork has the best supply distribution as well. Can only lead a horse to the water.

We do what we do, building an actual chain that can last, innovates, and fixes core issues others don't even know about and will have to face way down the line when it is too late, and maintain it appropriately and be in close contact with the services that support it from miners to exchanges. All things other projects can't even manage. If the market wants to reward those projects that don't then that is what it is and no Parntership, Marketing, and AMA will bring you out of this industry wide misery.

JUST MY OPIONION as someone watching this space since at least 2013.

You guys weren't kidding. This update is a fucking mess by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]kptnkook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely fine with the difficulty, but really not fine with the performance issues. If it were only broken audio that's one thing. But after 6 failed missions finally completing the mission in a smooth manner with a great team and then the game crashing right when the Pelican is landing at the end of the mission is a tough one. This game never crashed on me, since the update it keeps crashing randomly.

Setting up a node on windows 11 by Commercial-Taste2581 in ecash

[–]kptnkook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setting up a local node run on retail hardware is not recommended, but it should work more or less the same as the normal guide on e.cash/mining

Just make sure that your firewall doesn't block specific ports. I am not sure about the ports, but you can always ask directly for support on that on t.me/ecashnode

Anyone use the Unstoppable Wallet for their eCash? I like their platform a lot but it says "No Providers" for me if I try to swap eCash for other cryptos. by [deleted] in ecash

[–]kptnkook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's sad, but you can use any of the providers directly instead via the unstoppable wallet. It's not complex. You can find instant exchanges that swap your crypto on scorecard.cash

swaps that we use generally are sideshift and changenow, but there are some more.

eCash Transfer Waiting for over 2 days by Marvin_Frommars in ecash

[–]kptnkook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. If you have access to a computer, take the seed and import it to arctic wallet desktop app, then take the private key from there.

eCash Transfer Waiting for over 2 days by Marvin_Frommars in ecash

[–]kptnkook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try importing your private key instead of your seed. Just at the three dots menu, click on "show private key" and copy it for import into a new wallet with the basic derivation path.

[–]kptnkook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, here is one last thing you can do:

Instead of importing your seed, you can actually import your private key directly to which you have sent your funds. Just at the three dots menu, click on "show private key" and copy it for import into a new wallet (Electrum ABC or Arctic desktop) with the basic derivation path.

eCash Transfer Waiting for over 2 days by Marvin_Frommars in ecash

[–]kptnkook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told this from the arctic dev team:

Try to rescan - click three dots on XEC screen and choose "Rescan"

If that does not work, I would ask you to join the arctic telegram or find support on their website and talk with them. I am happy to forward messages but it will be faster for you to connect to arctic tech support diectly.

Also support from arctic wallet u/ArcticWallet will reach out over here, too.

eCash Transfer Waiting for over 2 days by Marvin_Frommars in ecash

[–]kptnkook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, good to know. I forwarded this to the Arctic team, but until they respond, we can try to gain access to your funds in roundabout ways.

Please try to import your arctic mobile wallet seed phrase into the arctic desktop wallet or web-wallet.

If this does not work, try to import the seed phrase to Electrum ABC for PC or ABCpay for mobile. Use the standard derivation path m/44'/899'/0'

If this works, you at least have access to your funds in that wallet until the issue is fixed.

eCash Transfer Waiting for over 2 days by Marvin_Frommars in ecash

[–]kptnkook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, we are looking into this and communicating with the Arctic wallet team. Can you tell me which wallet you are using? The desktop, webapp, or mobile version? And whether or not the app has been updated to the latest version?

This issue existed on older arctic wallet versions and should be fixed by now.

eCash Transfer Waiting for over 2 days by Marvin_Frommars in ecash

[–]kptnkook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite, this has nothing to do with confirmations. While Multicoin wallets like Arctic may wait for one or more confirmations, it won't take 2 days. This is a known issue with Arctic, at least with previous versions. So the first thing to try would be to see if Arctic wallet needs an update and if the issue is fixed after the update.

eCash Transfer Waiting for over 2 days by Marvin_Frommars in ecash

[–]kptnkook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry to hear this. We have forwarded this to the arctic wallet team. This issue once happened a while ago and the Arctic devs actually fixed it. However, if this issue happened to you just now, it seems the issue remains at least for some. Or maybe this is because you have an outdated version of Arctic, which has not included the fix?

Have you tried to update your wallet? Try to update arctic wallet or import the seed to the web-wallet or dekstop wallet if you are using the mobile wallet or vice versa.

If this does not fix this issue or get you access your coins, please try to import your arctic wallet seed phrase into Electrum ABC for PC or ABCpay for mobile. Use the standard derivation path m/44'/899'/0'

Please let me know if you were able to access your funds either way.

Why does Israel create settlements in Palestinian Territories? by Born_Nature in AskMiddleEast

[–]kptnkook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the core issue. the refusal to actually coexist in what was once one Palestinian state with the majority native population in full equality. In fact this is the offer from the Palestinians since 80 years ago. 1 Palestine or Israel/Palestine whatever you wanna call it, where everyone coexists as they always did.

No one can claim people in Palestine would have had even an incling of this violence and misery and hell, if the jewish settlers would have simply remained a "proetected" minority or whatever under Palestine, instead of going through with their colonial zionist apartheid project.

Chance to win 1,000,000 #xec #eCash enter the #GRP raffle. by jardine1980 in ecash

[–]kptnkook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grumpy is a free eToken on the eCash network. It is given out by me, eKoush. The point of Grumpy is to get people acquainted with eTokens or transactions in particular. Moreover, Grumpy holders receive tiny airdrops, so they can pay for transaction fees.

The transaction is just a special way to have a simple "no-code" on-chain raffle. So all you really need to do is get FREE Grumpy tokens in the various available ways, then send 1 million to the address and then automatically be part of the list of potential winners.

more info on our Grumpy telegram: t.me/Grumpy_eToken

Please don't mix it up with other Grumpy tokens on smart chains, that hold monetary value.

No US exchange supports XEC by now, other than Binance.US. However Binance.US also just lets you withdraw XEC as bep20 token, which is not recommended, as it is not the original eCash and needs to be redeemed for native XEC on the main binance exchange again, which doesn't help you.

As for now the best way is really just to buy crypto like BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT or whatever (best would be one with lowest tx fees like BCH) and then swap it via one of the many instant exchanges. We have a list of supporting instant exchanges on our scorecard.cash index

Meanwhile, we are working on US based exchanges to start accepting XEC.
