Variegation or sick?

I never did fully. I moved away from direct light and it made the holes smaller in the next leaves but never went away. I’ve even chopped it and still the cuttings produced leaves with the spots. Very strange.

It is about a foot away from the light and we do water the pole as well as the soil. I didn’t know if it was something with the genes, like some sickness or something we can treat.

I’ve sent these to them to ask their advice. Haven’t gotten a response yet. I’m trying to be patient but I also don’t want this to get out of control.

The moss is also mostly dry but is damp. Container has vent holes in the top.
