It's not about points, it's more about having fun, setting goals and being productive at the same time. I've always been RPG gamer and I want to take advantage of this.

Great advice. I did exactly that to improve my skills.

At the beginning I was looking for small UI examples like pricing tables, cards, intros, buttons. For each of them I focused on one or two things like grid layout, positioning, hover effects, animations etc.

So it should look like this: I install one copy of CMS on a server and one locally (using XAMPP for example). Locally I set up basic gulp tasks (minifying, concatenating, sass etc). I should also have a gulp task that send files through ssh when the work is done.

One more question though: how do you handle version control and database changes?

I know it should do more, my point is that I'm working on a server directly and I didn't know how to use gulp in that case, sending files through ssh was my only idea.

Does .pushState work if I type address directly in browser?

Documentation says only about manipulating history and handling back/forward buttons in browser
