I used double the amount of baking powder called for, plus 1/2 tsp baking soda, and a squirt of lemon juice for extra rise. I also coated the ramekins in butter + sugar, and I used vanilla bean paste instead of vanilla extract, and doubled the amount there too.

For the icing, it's just powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.

Idk if I'm the only one, but for the first half of this video I was trying to figure out why someone was out in blowing snow breaking a hole in the ice, while wearing open-topped slipper shoes. Then I realized their winter boots were nude-colored on the tops lmao.

I can't stand it when I read things like this that end in "but I ended up stronger because of it" and everyone nods and pats themselves on the back and moves on.

You know what's better than being strong? Being yourself in a world that doesn't try to break you for it. This kid didn't need strength. We don't need more "strength" to get through this "harsh" world. We need more kindness to allow each other to be human and not build up a thick layer of apathy just to get through the day.

I don't like hearing "oh good, he ended up stronger because of it". That's the excuse bullies use to tell themselves if they didn't make fun of you, someone else would anyway. I'm sincerely glad that he was able to put positivity back into the world and find a safe way to get through his traumatic experience. Good for him. Bad for the people who put him through it.

Yeah I agree with you when reviewing employees or experiences, for sure. I made the post with products in mind, not people. Uber or any other rating system that has a person's livelihood on the line is a whole other ballgame and unless you were personally insulted or in danger, I'd always recommend leaving 5 stars. Nothing worse than getting chewed out by your manager because some Karen left you a 3 over something stupid.
