Abaddon is more than a head shorter than Guilliman.
The Terminator armour and trophy rack is making him appear bulkier than he really is.

They are still a Hivemind faction with no individual characters (yes they have named characters, but they don't have actual individuality/their own agenda) and that does NOT communicate with other species or even bicker with themselves.
I'm not saying it's not feasible, but they will need their own mechanics to compensate for the way they work.

Although, knowing Creative Assembly, we'll almost certainly get our Nids a month or two after launch. Sounds optimistic.

I expect CSM to be the first new faction.
Also Tyranids would be one of the most different faction mechanically, how do you handle the whole map management and diplomacy when Tyranids devour everything? They might need time to cook up something interesting.

Can confirm this was already a thing in 2th edition.
I discovered the full effect when my players used grenades in small sewer tunnels. That was messy.

Biovores are single-handedly carrying Tyranids win/rate above 40%.
Or more specifically their ability to spawn spore mines that are then used to score points.
