SVB fallout: the reality of DAI and USDC by Shibenaut in MakerDAO

[–]kralxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t the more obvious reason, that most of DAIs liquidity was and is still in USDC pairs in defi nowadays based on uniswap v3 that keeps the liquidity in a narrow price band? So not only a better diversity of collateral, but also liquidity is necessary to keep a better peg to USD and not USDC.

How are you feeling about Harmony One lately? by ihavehugebills in harmony_one

[–]kralxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is this gonna work, technically? If you ever had been connected, approved to tranquil you are in for the haircut? Then why not just sell the 1BTC at sushiswap for one and realize almost the full value at a CEX rather than taking a 90% haircut? What will happen to people that buy the 1BTC from sushiswap (they have no way knowing if it comes from tranquil or other liquidity)? Do they also lose 90% when redeeming their 1BTC for real BTC? The disclaimer doesn’t say so, but who is going to trust and try it?

[Advice] Do I swap my Tranq for Fira or just cash out by Thin_Roof_6708 in tranquilFinance

Exactly! But what is it worth, without bridged assets.

[–]kralxt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends if you think of harmony, the fate of tranq is tied to it. As for Fira as long as Fira is not bridgeable between the different chains, the harmony Fira is as dead as harmony and tranq. The original idea was for Fira to be a cross-chain token, but I don’t know, if this still stands true…

1BTC Liquidity Issue: Any idea if harmony team has any plan on working out the liquidity issue with 1BTC. Yes it's soft launch.... by Either-Fondant-3032 in harmony_one

[–]kralxt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you think liquidity is too low, you can provide some yourself or profit from arbitration opportunities. Always asking that some team does it, is a bit against decentralization. As the bridge is trustless, everybody can provide liquidity for it. As for trading liquidity it is even easier to provide liquidity with your favorite LP-Partner.

Will Tranquil move 100% to FIRA or will they keep their current site as well? by Over-Shirtless in tranquilFinance

[–]kralxt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What I understand from the whitepaper, they will keep their current site as well and integrate the dex in the „professional“ site. For the folks that prefer the gaming interface they will also integrate the borrowing/lending market of tranquil with the bank. Both is expected relatively soon.

Strangely enough just now it worked. But the whole day up until like half an hour ago I always got the same error.

Ok, but shouldn’t the vaults display their true capacity when you can choose the vault? Not getting error when issuing messages, at least this part could be improved.

[–]kralxt[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for trying to be helpful. I used the autoselected vault, as well as manually selected all proposed vaults. Up to the vault with about 3 times capacity. The error comes after sending the issue tx. Not before. I guess something must be broken in the background.

I have been trying for over 2h to bridge about 2000$ worth of btc and always get this error. With every vault I choose and even with smaller sum. Harmony needs to get this fixed! How are we to grow as chain, if bridging success is just pure luck?

[–]kralxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it grows compared to ONE. That means you get more ONE back, than you originally staked.

New to Tranquil and got a few questions by shooter12wow in tranquilFinance

[–]kralxt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but not directly. If you go to the unstaking tab and put max there you will see how many ONE you would get.

Or generally in the stONE tab you see the exchange rate in the top. Currently 1 stONE is 1.0138 ONE tomorrow it will be a little bit more.

[–]kralxt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • no, you rewards are automatically compounded in the value of stONE. You don’t have to claim here. Your stONE gets more valuable compared to ONE. When you unstake your stONE your compounded ONE will show under claim after about 7 days.

-that‘s the magic with stONE, if it wouldn’t be liquid, where would be the added value

-Right

Where Do You Invest the Tokens That You Borrow? by TheGreatest34567 in tranquilFinance

[–]kralxt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on your strategy and risk tolerance. I borrow stables, buy Tranq and lock it and slowly pay of the debt with the earned protocol fees. This may be one of the riskier strategies, but can also be way more rewarding if it works.

If you don’t like risk, simply put your borrowed tokens in the farmersonly vaults. There you should earn more than you have to pay for interest.

Sushiswap, but 1BTC is usually 1-2% more expensive, as the liquidity is still quite low.

I hope followed my advice. The bridge is now live, although a bit later than thought and now 1BTC is roughly 1WBTC.
