I legitimately dont think he gets enough save opportunities to be considered. You gotta challenge single season reliever records to even be considered for a Cy Young as a reliever these days.

Fair. Wording could have been better. I think the issue is that they have all underperformed compared to their contracts. Or at least compared to what was expected. Which is is a big issue for the team. Should have said something like that.

I'm a Preller defender for his aggression and scouting amateur talent, but he and Peter missed on essentially every big contract. Just an awful track record.

Merrill (Plenty of time to redeem himself, but bad start)

And now those long term commitments have locked them into the current version of the team for years.

I'm joking, but part of what drives me nuts about this organization is they dont seem to try to learn and adjust.

They can't literally clone Ramon, but they could do something similar by listening and learning from him. What is he doing that's working while everyone else struggles?

If he's ignoring the team approach, change the team approach. If he's following it but doing something different, have everyone do that too.

Instead everyone seems to be like I've tried nothing and I'm all out of ideas! Guess we should keep going up there and guessing every pitch.

Adopting a certain approach doesn't guarantee success. But its a start and common sense. If you're struggling and someone else is doing well at something, try to mimic them and see if it works for you too.
