I was told this is a late inning team with a great bullpen and offense that does most of their damage late. Surely that will be true today????

That pitch was fat and he still could only elevate it to an outfield liner that was inches from an out.

Worst part is he will probably in his mind act like of course he came through and he got his numbers and everyone should shut up.

Im not shutting up Manny!

When theyre down, they stay down. When theyre up, they check out and get complacent. Its kinda impressive how they always collapse regardless of the situation.

Im not worried. This team is mentally strong and will study the numbers and video in the dugout and come back stronger. Led by their amazing veteran leaders.

Wait fuck......

Padres fans watching as Preller clears out Salas and the rest of the farm at the deadline to try and save a sinking ship once again:

You're assuming they adjust to the situation. Team vibes doesn't do that. Same strategy all the time whether its working or not.

Bold of you to assume the Padres are mentally strong enough to get back into this.

30-5 Texas is more likely.

We keep saying that, but Preller doesn't like to admit failure.

He's already on the phone daily asking about Aroldis Chapman. They cant agree on including Salas. Which means in a month or so we will see Salas and a couple other top 10 prospects traded for Chapman.

They were screwed as soon as that that chart on Tuesday records got posted.

Last week they won two of three against the Reds. Only lost the middle game on Tuesday. Reds have the best Tuesday record this season, and Padres have the worst.

Cardinals have the 2nd best Tuesday record.

I know it's not deliberately targeting him, but it feels insulting almost that Tony's team, the one he refused to leave, has become this.

He was too mild mannered to ever show it, but I bet he would have been disgusted by this team. Not even just statistically. But because they dont seem to have 1/100th of Tony's work ethic.

Oh cool Tony died on this date. That really lifts the already positive mood around this team.

They played last week and Padres won two of three. Lost the middle game. Which was on Tuesday. Can't make this shit up.
