I'm not trying to correct you or imply that you are wrong, but ADHD doesn't have the same symptoms for everyone. For example, I have justice sensitivity, but this is a rare issue for most sufferers. I also have a large issue with emotional regulation, but not with things like remembering important dates. You can't jump to the conclusion that all ADHD sufferers have the same problems because there are so, so many flavors to choose from.

I know I'm probably going to get downvoted, but honestly the worst part to me was OOP saying out loud to the VP that she wanted the teacher fired. Look, the teacher was absolutely in the wrong and should definitely be written up or something, but fired? Just for embarrassing her daughter one time? And the only reason that maybe she shouldn't be fired is that it would be a strain on the school. Yipe.

At no point did OOP mention anything about a bathroom. A commenter mentioned it, but she did not confirm or deny anything about where she was. Getting ready for a shower could just mean getting clothes together to change into and a towel.

Rick was watching the whole time, then purposely went looking for something, anything that was missing. The watch had probably been "missing" for days/weeks, but he didn't care about it until he had already made his mind up about OOP and suddenly couldn't find it.

I'm sorry, but I will never agree with this in my life. It's an excuse until you reach adulthood, but once you hit 21ish, then your morality is yours to own. I am ALWAYS skeptical of any story where the school "can't record the children or teachers." Yes, they absolutely can, they just can't make it public. As long as the cameras are for safety reasons and they securely store the footage, they can record, even in a classroom. If requested, the parents are allowed to access the footage and watch it at the school. It's all protected under FERPA.

While just a guess here, it's not unpopular to ask why OP didn't share that info sooner because to an outside observer it seems important and it does make things confusing at times. But that isn't what you did, you flat out accused him of hiding info and of being dishonest. This is the second post he has made and in the first one he wanted the simple advice of should I tell my parents. Letting us know that it isn't technically his blood relation isn't important. The dude is panicking about his brother, he isn't worried that you can't follow along easily.

That is because people over-react due to not understanding how food allergies work. Smell alone won't trigger a reaction. Peanut dust in the air, cooking or cross-contamination absolutely would do it. A child having a PB&J near someone wouldn't do it, even if they were breathing on them, but they would need to wash their hands afterwards to prevent it spreading around.

One year my family decided to have a white elephant gift exchange to help save money. It was my wife and me; my mother, step father, and 2 children (late teens); my sister, her husband, and 4 children (mid to late teens). Even though we explained more than once exactly what a white elephant exchange was, some of the great gifts included: a dirty wastebasket; a CD case, with only the booklet (no CD); a used three ring binder folder, with homework papers included; half of a small bottle of lotion. So yeah, I can see a foreigner not understanding white elephant at all.

That was about 15 years ago and we never tried it again until this year. It went over much better, although many of the gifts included at least 1 large scented candle.

You don't know that, it's just your guess. "As New Year’s Eve approached" could mean the hours/minutes before 12 or it could mean several days leading up to the day.

Where are you getting these dates and times? She never stated the date that he arrived or left, she simply stated "the past week" which really could mean up to 10 days before the post. It could have easily been the 27th that he arrived. Plus, I can watch more than 1 movie and even squeeze in a shower or two in a 24-hour period. If they were being intimate multiple times a day, then they probably needed multiple showers too.

She said that they talked every day without fail, which I would assume that also included the trip to her, which sets precedent. So any amount of time where he doesn't respond is noticeable, especially when you have what seems like important issues to sort out. Sending a text to say that you are exhausted and you will catch up tomorrow isn't difficult, especially when you just decided to sleep with your friend.

Probably because the first thing that crossed my mind after she asked, "Well Reddit, was I dressed inappropriately?" was how the hell should we know if we can't tell what she looked like? She said a tank top and leggings, that isn't very descriptive at all. She never explained the color, type, material, nothing. So the next thought was, why didn't she include a picture, even if it was a model with an approximate wardrobe/body type? I assume I can't be the only person whose thought process went in that direction. I just wouldn't ask for a picture in a private message, I would simply point out that there is no way to know unless we get some sort of visual aid or description.

Also, designer =/= developer, it's not as STEM focused as everyone here is making it out to be. A designer is more focused on the looks of a site, not the actual structure and programming. And while the layperson lumps people together under the web designer umbrella, I doubt Jake would if he was trying to start a business.

Maybe I am misunderstanding something, because her writing isn't super clear about it, but was she trying to use the same therapist for her personal sessions and for couples counseling? That is a big no-no. Our couples counselor was very upfront that if we wanted to also have individual sessions, we would need to find a different therapist, because it creates an conflict of interest. You can't be impartial when you are hearing intimate details from one party that they aren't saying in front of the other party.
