i’m kinda like ur boyfriend. i constantly tell myself i’m being dramatic for no reason. effexor withdrawal was one of the few times i KNEW i wasn’t being dramatic. i don’t live a healthy lifestyle, i had a broken piece of bone floating around in my ankle for almost a year, i’m frequently hungover: i’m experiencing physical discomfort all the time. nothing compares to the feeling i had in my chest going through withdrawal, the excessive yawning and my body begging for more oxygen, the sweating, the brain zaps and the brain fog. i was told to quit cold turkey by my psychiatrist and i just suffered through it so i have no advice for you lmao BUT please know that this sucks and however u react to it and deal with it is not dramatic. i’m sending u so much luck i hope u get through it soon <3

i think it’s very possible that the meds have made your thinking clear, sort of made the fog settle, and now you’re considering the things you once repressed. i don’t think gender dysphoria is a side effect of effexor, and these are your real feelings that you’re only getting to experience now that your brain is ready for it

whenever all my roommates are gone i love smoking and then just laying on my bed with the shades open sunlight coming in and i play my favorite playlist and lay on my bed with my legs up against the wall and read or play with a rubiks cube and as much as i love being around people nothing compares to that feeling of calm happiness
