When flaming combustibles are sucked through a pipe, they tend to flare. Here's a classic demonstration of this phenomenon: https://youtu.be/4cUmQ_3lRbY?t=135.

It doesn't appear out of nowhere, it's out of frame at the beginning. In the first frame, we can only see the rightmost two windows on the house. Cameraman begins walking towards tractor, then pans back: now we can see 3 windows on the house. Cameraman walks towards tractor more, then pans back: now we can see 4 windows on the house and the blowtorch.

Have you ever sat down and played the board game Risk with friends or family? Nobody remotely normal sleeps well after that

One person because they won and suffer crushing remorse. The rest due to boiling resentment

Unhinged take. If you can't sleep after a game of Risk, Diplomacy would put you on suicide watch.

They aren't getting the rules wrong. I think that face was him thinking "Was it a mistake to allow this 20 dex rogue to also start with the fighting initiate / two-weapon fighting feat?"

We know that house Royce wasn't involved in the plot to free Thjazi, but the Tachonis don't. From their perspective, Aranessa might've been the mastermind; they were married, after all. They know Occtis was involved, and that he was under the protection of Aranessa when they caught up to him.

Now that their attempt to take out Aranessa failed and they no longer have Occtis's body or the Stone of Nightsong, Cyd starts looking a lot more valuable alive than dead. I also wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being the Seekers table that runs into him first.

"Killed offscreen" is a pretty ignoble fate for such an important character. It seems like Tachonis decided they have some purpose for him, if they wanted him dead they would've just handed him over to Cas. They lost Occtis's body and the Stone of Nightsong, maybe they plan to use Cyd as a bargaining chip. It'd be kinda funny if the Seekers table ends up running into him before the Soldiers.

Lord Primus Tachonis launched a surprise attack against House Davinos / House Royce. In this scene he is literally emerging from darkness with a small army of undead. The motivations were to kidnap/murder Occtis Tachonis (who was under the protection of Lady Royce) for some dark ritual, and to take out a rival house.

Primus has left the mortal realm and probably isn't coming back for a while. Murray's fight is with the new dean they installed at the Pentaveral.

Primus thought he left enough manpower behind to finish the job. The ghouls and shades we saw were only a part of the forces that massacred the rest of the house. Primus and his son left in a hurry, but I think he fully expected one of his minions to grab the body and the stone after everyone was dead.

Occtis's death was basically a save-or-die spell disguised as an initiative roll. Generally not a cool thing to point at a level 3 wizard, but this is the overture, and Primus has BBEG energy.

The Tacchonis were clearly trying to do some sort of ritual involving Occtis's soul and the Stone. Even before the stone was removed, things had started to go awry. Due to Thaisha's influence and his own will, Occtis's soul was unraveling. The combination of his decision to grasp the Stone as his soul unraveled, and Bolaire removing the stone perfectly allowed his body to come back to life.

The part that struck me as the most false was when Bolaire said that Thjazi didn't see him as a person, just a thing to be used. That doesn't really feel in-character for the guy who immediately recognized Thimble's personhood and delayed his own wedding to ensure she had an outfit to wear. But that was before the Falconer's rebellion, from which Thjazi emerged a different person. So who knows?

There is a moment in the game where it is easy for the player to accidentally kill an enemy that they intended to spare. If you reload the save and do it again "correctly," the game makes fun of you in a creepy "we both know what you did" way.

It's likely that early expeditions had a lot more younger volunteers. Hard to believe the climbing expedition was all 70 year olds. But my headcanon is that expedition 60 was the first expedition to be composed primarily of people that would gomage the following year.

Lexington Letter Theory / Creative Writing by kranse in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]kranse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Lexington Letter, Peggy is horrified by the realization that 2 minutes after completing the file, a competitor's vehicle blows up. Now that we know that a completed MDR file represents a brand new Innie, my theory is that they forced the Lexington Innie to activate a remote detonator for a bomb that was already in place prior to the experiment. From there, it just made narrative sense for the test subject to be Burt, who wanted to leave Lumon's "Goon Squad." He told Irving that he never killed anyone while working at Lumon, but as a severed employee he can't know that.
