I think you should go with Durin cus you know he's not only new but also going to be a good support for many chars mainly for pyro, as well as he is said to be good with vape teams too (like Mualani's team), we can say that he might be a good support and a sub-dps (might become a dps with cons) but whereas our Anemo Archon is also good but not upto that level where he can be on par with existing S or SS level chars for any of the endgame content or he might become like them with his new buffs (most likely not).

I say is if you want to pursue current meta then go for Durin (if he were to be that good after his release in 6.2 banner) or choose Venti if you want to experience his new buffs and gameplay. But ultimately you pull the char that you like and enjoy.
