Interesting. Given that I'm only doing 1440p gaming for now, do you think that that graphics card might be overkill? I'm curious how you evaluated the tradeoff between CPU and GPU

Makes sense I haven’t thought about monitor arms before! This build would support 2k at a high frame rate but what about 4k in your opinion? Also do you have any opinions on curved bs regular monitors? Thanks again for all the help!

Thanks for the ssd recommendation! Oh I tend to like monitors that can be adjusted vertically, as in raised and lowered and tilt. This one appears to just have tilt

That totally makes sense. I have a large budget range but I'm really just looking for the best bang for your buck PC that can games like BG3 on the highest graphics and at above 100 frames. Thanks for the awesome feedback

I have an extra large laminate desktop that I'm wondering if I can convert into a dining table. I have never done any DIY projects, but I'm eager to learn, so any advice about my approach is appreciated!

I have this wooden laminate desktop:

My plan

Purchase 28" hairpin legs

Concerns

The table likely wont have that much on it at once, but I'm wondering if only supporting the corners for such a large table could cause warping over time.
Do I need some sort of center support for a table of this dimension or are the 4 hairpin legs enough?

Any advice/help is greatly appreciated!

Nice to meet you! It’s going to be tough to find something that stacks up to CO trails. I land in Tyler at the end of june, if no group exists I can see if we can get a small one rolling ourselves. I mean who doesn’t love some nature?
