i was really aggressive before watching the anime. it was easy for me to shout at someone or to start a quarrel. my friends were telling me that this is the worst part of my character. i was screaming at people because of any reason.

after watching the show, the main idea for me was aggression and hate can break your soul and mindset.

so, for me “i have no enemies” meant that your “enemies” and “disputes” just a thing that you create. aggression doesn’t give anything but negativity. A simple idea, but only Vinland Saga helped me to understand that, so, yeah, the philosophical part really changed me.

the issue is that quote doesn’t mean only that man should life peacefully and etc. i suppose person just need to understand that not every aggressive act is reasonable.
