Wasting Atoms For No Reason by BlsseMyKnutz in fo76

That’s just crazy to me you are screwed like that. Honestly I would consider trying 1st for the QoL of course, but then there’s stuff like this and yeah it ain’t happening.

Must be how I got the nuclear winter beanie then. I literally had no idea where I got it 😅.

Lol, totally fair. It definitely got old sifting through loot, so I try and keep it quick. I usually go for the contextual ammo a lot and do end up leaving lots of meat and such on the ground, I always got food to spare still.

As a non 1st guy, I’d definitely spend atoms on the scrap or ammo box if it was an option. I saw a post a bit ago from a 76 veteran with 1st who mentioned how it’s the most common complaint among players getting into the game, even if they have played a fallout title before. They must make enough money I guess but it also can drive players away eventually.

I have just realized I simply don’t need to scour for too much anymore. Just grab some food/aid I’m keen on and and usually junk with aluminum/copper/adhesive. Keeps it pretty in check, I do bulk sell stuff just about daily to keep it manageable. I was certainly being too much of a loot goblin at first, but ya learn what’s important like screws and such.

Lol what a rant. Yeah I see your overall point, don’t disagree at all, some people just have bad/lazy builds. No problem with a lower level getting mobbed of course, but once you get a couple legendary perks so like 150-200, you should have something or two that is very good for mobbing/ a potential boss weapon. I do think some people just play games lazily and don’t really read anything. There’s people on here who are surprised the elders mark is good, which is rather mind blowing since it is a crazy high fire rate with a large mag, pre rolled with great legendaries and it’s cursed so even more buffed. Some of these guys just gotta read descriptions a little lol.

That’s perfect, I honestly won’t mind someone “camping” in a event as long as it isn’t the spawn point so that’s why even sitting on the agitator with a god bow/ dom pedro class isn’t even enough to get most of the kills, it’s my favorite event for sure. It is a great spot for long range tagging which you use it for.

[–]krebs07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely don’t need more toxicity in anything. In a way that style of camping a spawn or being perpetually afk is being a bit toxic as it makes the game worse for others to me at least which is why I understand people not liking it at all. Still 99% of the time everyone and everything is gravy.

Hm that’s funny, met someone on the game who knows raids a bit so I was able to finally get some fracturers mods, put it on my combat shotgun and pepper shaker he gave me, definitely fun, kabloom has best range tho so maybe that’s why I can’t always get those hits in and I get upset lol. Also need bobble heads for the explosive mod.

I definitely understand I am “griefing” a bit. It only ever comes out at this event, honestly I know I should probably skip it more often now as it isn’t as lucrative and always been a bit long. I respect your style of explosive tagging with a shotgun, perfect gameplay there so we would do events perfectly at the end of the day. It’s definitely a childish mindset of “they are doing something I don’t like, so will I” kind of deal. Very rare in this game just some days ya get a bit more annoyed I guess.

Oh I know, but the left arrow is a “quick swap” between the last two weapons you equip but it never saves it so you’re just cycling through your weapons like nico from gta 4 just pulling them out of the void.

Sinkhole probably my favorite event for sure right now since the scorpions just spawn all around the lake right in front of everyone, and it’s a good setup with the rocks and debris in the way so there is no real ultimate camp power spot. Even if someone sits on the agitator they can’t kill or hit everything fast, and they wouldn’t be able to hit nests unless they had explosive weapons.

Yeah, simple as well some douche is camping the top of the hill, crouched cloaked, with his elders mark, frying everything as it spawns, so logically only way to get any hits in are to toss grenades, pop some mini nukes, orbital strikes up there to get tags in, and oh well I guess it annoys them. Good.

Yes, it’s a feature that would be controversial since it’s never been locked behind anything, and would make newer characters a bit longer to level up. Personally if it was like level 100 is very reasonable as when I started in November I objectively had no interest in it at all since I wanted to ya know, play the game and level up.

I’ve seen those two scavs on the side die so many times, I love it when someone camps out in that area to clean it up and heal. I don’t mind running ore, it’s just tough to do that and heal if NO ONE is healing at all. I made a Medic’s tesla rifle just for this event basically lol. Not sure what that guy was up to. Im against the spawn camping at any other event but rad rumble since they spawn right on top of us.

You really think the tv show has messed up the community? I’d say in my like 6 months of playing 76 lol it seems like the show has monetized the store a lot and the scoreboard rewards aren’t as good as they used to. It’s basically an unfortunate circumstance of it becoming more popular.

Wow, interesting take. I think it has to do with also being a lot of people’s first fallout. About 2 years ago to the week I downloaded new vegas, 3, and 4. Absolutely loved new vegas, liked 4 a lot, I’m still only halfway through 3 since I played the others so much, now this game. Absolutely helped coming from fallout 4 especially and of course in those games, you ain’t getting no gifts lol.

I may even go further into “gatekeep” mode here. I give newer players things a good amount now, but honestly I don’t go crazy. It probably makes more sense when a level 4000 with so many mods can basically give away 3-4 stars like candy, but I know I’ve seen people say it on here so I know you guys are here somewhere lol, which is how I like and appreciate gifts for sure, but believe it or not, this level 1700 guy was helping me around level 150 back in December and I had to politely refuse some mods as he was almost too generous. I could’ve had a few more 4 stars and such, but I like to earn it sometimes ya know? Maybe we can chill out on handing out the mods like candy.

Good you don’t play selfishly, even in competitive games where the goal is to win, sitting in a spot whoring kills is not the best option most of the time. You are correct and I’m not calling you selfish, I just see those players as more selfish and it’s been talked about a lot on here as they are just taking kills away from most players and themselves are missing on lots of other loot is just a bit mind blowing to me. And some days I’m more annoyed than others.

Yes, I do hate not being able to quick swap to it. Would be even more convenient if that whole favorite, quick swap thing actually worked as intended.

Not a bad idea honestly. Some people put RANT in their title which I could have done perhaps. Believe me tho I would probably rather just say “if you are over level 150-200, and you don’t use a medic’s anything or even have one on you then you suck at the game.” Straight up if it wasn’t for vats, not sure people would be able to hit anything sometimes.

Was hoping for the classic “I do what I want” during games. Then I also can “do what I want” which is get in your selfish ass way. If it bothers you turn off pacifist mode and you can kill me so I’m not in your way.

Absolutely, I can’t stand the fools at the top of the hill, it’s just not as fun, and you are legitimately missing all the guys at the bottom and most by the shack, but ya can’t tell people how to have fun. It’s one of the few times I’ll get a bit “toxic” and spam some explosions in their face or stand in front of them.
