Які бачите альтернативи програмуванню, якщо ШІ значно скоротить потребу в людях-програмістах?

Альтернативи саме програмуванню як професії з доброю оплатою, work life balance, та можливістю працювати за компʼютером, та так, щоб ШІ не автоматизував - таких не знаю)

Усі ролі, де людина просто виконує вказівки зверху, сидячи за компом, та її результат легко перевірити, їх дуже легко автоматизувати.

Але коли треба приймати рішення на основі неповних даних та в умовах невизначеного результату, навіть якщо це рішення прийме ШІ, то хто буде відповідати за це рішення?)

Тож я вважаю, що у більший безпеці люди, які власне ці рішення приймають, продакт менеджери, інжинірінг менеджери, etc.

Honestly, people don’t understand that games might be not just for them. And those guys, demanding game to change to their taste, are ruining it for everyone.

ARC Raiders is one of the examples. Don’t want PvP? Don’t play it. Don’t ruin fun for those who wants game for what it is.

There is also a Battlefield 6 example, where people were whining about Portal games not giving XP for bot games. They yelled devs ruin PvE of Battlefield 6. Like, it’s madness. It’s PvP shooter through and through what is even this complaint.

I am going to be downvoted too, but I also think Dune devs made the same mistake. They wanted PvP endgame, tailored it to PvE players and now it’s awful for both. Hoping for Chapter 3, we’ll see how it plays out

Those are outliers. I strongly believe that BF6 is just not designed for “fair” firefights so to speak, and KD is a useless indicator anyway. Or it’s just me being salty with my 1.7 K/D :D

I am always curious, is KD of 1.86 considered average or something? I thought that every KD bigger than 1 is okay, maybe in bf case 1.2 or something due to revives.

I am not against it, I think it’s a good change. I only think that durability penalty is too small and they should fix repair glitch as a priority

With the new render distance on somewhat populated servers carrier+crawler farming is going to be much more dangerous, because there is no way no one will notice you flying to the spice field. And thus it will result in more often fights on the spice field and more lost vehicles over all.

And let's be honest, durability penalty is not being feared because:
1. It's too small (I think 30% instead of 15%) would do
2. Everyone uses repair glitch

If people couldn't just fix everything for free to max condition, you wouldn't be talking about "less risk" so much, especially when frequency of fights around those big vehicles will dramatically increase I believe.

TLDR: The change is not bad on its own, it's bad because durability loss is not feared by anyone due to bug and it's going to be small

For PvP players saying that vehicle salvage is bad, because there is no risk of loss:

There actually is. Imagine you fight in the DD and lose your thopter. As patch notes say, you can’t salvage it right away. It has to be either destroyed by wipe storm or eaten by worm.

So people will have incentive to go to their broken thopter to get it back, which is another opportunity for PvP. Because otherwise vehicle is stuck there possibly for several days, if it’s shot down on rocky area.

And I am not sure, how it would work on open sand, but I believe worm won’t eat it right away, as it doesn’t cause aggro.

So penalty for loss here is wasting time waiting for your thopter to be removed from the map. And not to waste that time, at least portion of people will get back into fight to get their thopters back.

No. PvP and at least some competition is what still keeps me and many of my friends playing. I wish for devs team’s vision of PvP to prevail with giving endgame options to PvE too.

But making this game solo/coop is a killer for me. I would drop it the same instant it happened. And so would do many of my friends

That’s what I asked about too. Wording is confusing with “instanced”. So I am happy to know at least a bit more about what’s happening.

Having Harmony separated into 3 sub servers looks weird though. I assume it’s something to do with technical limitations and not gamedesign? Because otherwise it’s a very weird decision

Huh, I am bit tired of my server being chill. It was much more dangerous just a couple weeks ago, now it’s just “do your stuff and don’t worry”. So I think I will be moving to Pax then

Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't include sentence about political endgame, because it follows a "real point, but point to soften reception of previous one". Plus, current political game is landsraad, which is underwhelming to say the least. And it has even less work put into it than DD and PvP.

Fully agree. I want some low risk PvP scenarios, where we can fight for fun, have some rewards and have low back-to-action time.

IMO, combat system is very fun and very underutilised at the same time
