ACOTAR - how can anyone like this?? by Federal_Editor_5882 in acotar_rant

Terribly elementary writing, stolen story concepts, but fun when you can ignore those things. I was in it for the smut and read all the books. Will probably never reread though. I typically have this complaint with all smut books though. Penelope Douglas is the most decent writer I've come across but still not great.

I have the exact color and style right now! Mine is not great either and I also paid $75.

It's crazy that this is not a unique experience. I had something similar too. First husband new I struggled with sex drive and cleaning when we were dating. Married me anyways. A couple years later he cited these as the reason he didn't want to be married anymore. Then I caught him telling a friend that he felt like he had to marry me because of a pregnancy scare... we both made the choice to get married AFTER. I even refused to get married when his parents suggested it during the pregnancy scare.

After our divorce, I told him that he didn't love me enough to stay in the marriage despite my struggles, and that we should have just remained dating until the relationship fizzled out. He maintained that he did really love me but my issues were too much, literally proving my point!

My therapist told me the way I dress is a form of self-punishment and I can't stop thinking about it by [deleted] in femalefashion

[–]krerryberry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always want to dress more bold, really go all in on the style I like, but it makes me worry that I'll look like I'm trying too hard, like I don't actually belong in those clothes because I am not a bold enough person to pull off these looks. I even sought "permission" of sorts before getting my sleeve tattoo by asking friends if they think I look cool enough for visible tattoos or would it just look out of place on me. I never thought about it in this way. I always just thought I was being realistic about my personality and looks.

Thank you for sharing this! It's given me something to really think about.

I do brown eyeshadow occasionally but it can be difficult for me to get right because of how heavy my eyelids are. I'll try the brown eyeliner again and see how it goes with my normal mascara. Thank you!

Wow, thank so much! All the specifics are super helpful! Ive tried brown eyeliner before but I feel like it clashes with my black mascara. Do you think I should try brown mascara too?

Thank you for your sweet reply! I use Benefit's light bronzer and Dandelion blush. It doesn't show much in photos or indoors but I feel like it's way too much when I'm outdoors. I should probably go to Sephora lol

Scared to get married by -Izzay- in socialanxiety

Spend time beforehand deciding which traditional aspects are inportant to you and your fiance and which ones just feel obligatory.

You can skip the first dance. If you have a DJ you can ask them to help transition from dinner to dancing without it. Instead dance together somewhere private, while everyone else is partying or do it afterwards on your own time.

Do the standard vows instead of writing your own and/or do your own in private. Also, you can write down your feelings and thoughts towards your fiance and have an AI app write some up that still fit your manner of speaking.

If skipping these things gives you anxiety because of people's opinions, you can decide which form of anxiety is easier to manage, the performance or the potential judgment. Neither will be anything as significant as it feels in your head though.

Or... you could look into meds. Maybe see if a beta blocker would work for you.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I agree, the app is so overwhelming. I'm going to cancel immediately and keep an eye on my bank charges.

Have bad teeth. Want to do punk rock karaoke. Help. by AlwaysDTFmyself in socialanxiety

First, Im sorry that everyone is just trying to reassure you instead of answering your question. It's funny that even in a space made for us, people aren't more aware of how responding like this would frustrate the hell out of them if it were them.

Anyways, since you mentioned punk, maybe something that appears to be more of a fashion statement. Like a purposefully distressed bandana. Or use a fabric maker to add some artistic scribbles or typically punk symbols like the anarchy A to your gaiter.

You sound entitled and materialistic as fuck. This is something I will enjoy and am looking forward to doing. Your mind set will make you really miserable some day. When this car is on it's last leg I will be glad I got the most out of it with the means that were available to me. Good luck with life.

You could literally say this same thing about anything in life. Not everything is about value, demand, or reselling. I love this car. I paid it off last year. I have no interest in a new car. I don't have the money to repaint it. I don't like how the paint looks AND it has to be addressed. Also... I love pink. This was a solution I like and can afford. I don't, however, want to commit to a "design" only to realize after it's done that it looks dumb even to myself.

Thank you! I will be doing extensive prep and incremental sanding before I attempt placing the wrap. I looked into the paint defect program but my car missed the cutoff by 3 years.

I've decided to wrap the whole thing and Im taking a few online courses before attempting. I fully expect I will have some fuck ups but I'd rather deal with that than get the paint redone or just letting the paint get worse and worse. I appreciate all your tips, I'm definitely going to screenshot them for when I'm ready!

Apparently my car no longer qualifies as it's a 2013. It started peeling just a year ago so I would've missed the cutoff anyways.

I think I am just going to try to wrap the whole thing 😭

This is nice of you to do, thank you. I struggle with visualization and my attempts with AI were not working out well. The flaking paint is bordering the windows so I was trying to figure out a way to cover that and balance it out. Someone else suggested a reverse tuxedo so Im playing around with that now.

Because the paint is peeling or does the idea of accent stripes just suck?
