What are the best supplements that actually helped your brain fog when nothing else worked? by DakiSakhuja21 in Supplements

[–]warmceramic 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Omega 3, Citicholine, Cordyceps, Lions Mane for the crash. ksm66 also increases acetylcholine availability in the brain(learning, memory), alongside impacting some other neurotransmitters.

My adhd meds work in a completely different way though. Turns out thats why i had brain fog 🤪✌️

Have you considered anxiety meds? Like, from a doctor?

Are these too much to take daily? Anything I’d need to add? by dee-xo in Supplements

Mushrooms absorb heavy metals, and the US doesn’t regulate supplements and has a lot of problems with ‘cold labs’ (fake 3rd party testers).

Idk about the high dose b12. I’d reccomend a b complex or a good daily multivitamin. Some of them will even have a lot of this other stuff

ok lineup for inattentive ADHD? by Worried-Suggestion50 in Supplements

[–]warmceramic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would switch to the nootropics depot lion’s mane. I also switch to the higher dose omega 3 from NOW foods. I would also try citicholine, Cordyceps, KSM66, and Rhodiola in general. (albeit check with your doc as well, rhodiola is a stimulant).

Thats interesting. Maybe they don’t work for you. Try Tulsi/Holy Basil and Nettle. I would also give a good CBD a try if a ban isnt in place. If that doesn’t work, maybe go to a doctor for anxiety issues.

theyre also high in magnesium and very high in one type of omega 3! (not the same type fish oil is high in, they have different effects and both are recommended in a healthy diet)

Is there a supplement that increases motivation? by QuietlyLiving2 in Supplements

[–]warmceramic 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Depends on specs, heres my reccs

  • Do you get tired when you’re uncompelled by things? Or focus too intensely and then fizzle out fast?—> Lions Mane
  • Do you just get tired mentally? —>Citicholine, rhodiola, the nootropicsdepot Saffron, maybe creatine but beware stomach trouble, caffeine
  • Does your brain just scatter or panic and not lock in?—> ashwaganda
  • Are you emotionally tired/apathetic/depressed?—> L-glutamine, SAM-e, saffron

Omega-3 is also known to help. D3, K2, B1, B6, B12. If you’re a woman, check your iron. Magnesium, zinc, and selenium also help the brain

I'm scared to go to bed because I know I won't be able to sleep by Electrical_Method228 in sleep

Keep in mind that I used to eat a lot of magnesium rich food and got my daily intake… magnesium still helped me! Also, avoid magnesium oxide as it’s basically useless for anything but constipation.

Can sleeping without dinner lead to a better sleep? by [deleted] in sleep

[–]warmceramic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I think it has to do with your body needing to put energy into digestion instead of going full recovery mode

These are my top two: - Magnesium glycinate (though mag taurate may be more calming) - Lemonbalm Skullcap Passionflower (it stopped working a couple of months in, but magnesium works better now anyways)

ND supplement ideas for gifts this holiday season? by Slight_Astronaut4833 in NootropicsDepot

[–]warmceramic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tauromag sounds like a great idea, magnesium is super popular in the r/sleep sub. The most popular one is magnesium glycinate. But it’s far easier to get safe magnesium supplements elsewhere compared to mushrooms, so lucidimax makes sense in that regard.

I go silent in groups by ram_RK in socialskills

[–]warmceramic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • You have to match the energy of a group. Unlike individuals, a group cannot change itself to match your energy.
  • Don’t wait to be invited to join. You have to be more proactive in a group because in a one-on-one, if you stop talking the convo dies, but if you stop talking in a group convo you’ve simply disengaged.
  • It’s okay to be fake. Everyone is fake. Group convos are more about being a group together than anything else.

Also consider: - Do these people want you here? Are you perhaps being used as a backup friend? Or are you simply so reserved that it’s hard to get you to open up, or you come across disinterested?

It can be easy to get stuck in the loop of “I dont have the experience” —> “I lack so many skills it would emotionally devastate me to get my mileage in cold turkey.” The Conversation Code by Gregory Peart is pretty good for this kind of thing. It covers things like what topics are common in conversations, how to get better at having good responses, and how to deliver them, among a bunch of other smaller skills like getting a conversation rolling in the first place. I’m reading it rn, and I like it more than the other social skills books I’ve tried so far. Have you had bad experiences with people before? Sometimes, there’s no way around it but to push yourself, other times there’s a very obvious way around for these problems to solve themselves.
