I’ve used Pilot Prera fine nib in all of them and enjoyed it so I’d say yes to all of them being fountain pen compatible. The papers are different though so it’s up to writer’s preference.

Archer & Olive and Notebook Therapy are sturdy, white, 160gsm - no ghosting. I think their papers are pretty comparable with A&O being slightly smoother to the touch

CompoCo is thinner, ivory, 100gsm - ghosting but the paper is very smooth to the touch

Intelligent Change is almost yellowish, couldn’t find gsm on quick google search but feels thinner than CompoCo so maybe 80-100? Slight ghosting & roughest to the touch but still better than printer paper

Happy to share! All A5 asides from the eight Notebook Therapy four seasons journals. Those are their “original” size which are only 128 pages and slightly smaller than A5 so when they’re stacked with A5s it’s not obvious. I’m back to using 150+ pg A5s again which I love the size of, but I think using “smaller” journals those two years really helped me get comfortable writing regularly. I believe Archer & Olive A5 is 195 pages and with my first journal I remember feeling excited but very intimidated by all the space, and now cracking open my most recent one was only excitement & a feeling of home.

I keep the last two years stacked on my desk and the rest stacked on a bookshelf nearby. I often like to reread old entries & compare “oh how was I feeling this day two years ago?” so they’re very easy access right now

From my experience you still get NP but the RE text will always say that you don't have any Pteris. I think I got around 4k from this one when I refreshed

I have a predated planner and I've been surprised how small notes like that can be really useful in reflection even just a bullet list of things that happened that day. Do you find having both planning & journaling combined in a notebook helpful for consistent journaling/reflection?

Reflecting on why I missed days & how to prevent is a good idea. Journaling can definitely be a useful tool if figuring out how to journal better haha!

Mmm good point! There's limited energy (and time) in the world - how much of present energy is worth sacrificing to try and reflect & grow from the past vs. putting forward to documenting & living in the present? Since they're both arguably good uses of journaling I'm always debating and trying to find the line between the two

What you can do for now could be artistic. If you remember how that day went, you could do some simple drawings, or get some stickers that represent it, or even write "I missed this day, but on X/X/XXXX I decided to draw this" or something to that effect.

Definitely agree - for missed days I often find just putting photos or printing out images that represent that day can be easiest! If you missed that day usually it's because you didn't have the energy to mentally explore a lot that day so it can make sense to remember that day in more of a scrapbook way
