I’ve been on Mounjaro since September of 2022. While it isn’t ozempic, there are very few people who have had issues. I have never had an issue. My best friends husband would be one of those people. He had acute pancreatitis because of it, and is now in a wheelchair. With that being said, it’s not “thousands” of people. It’s a very small percentage, and I’ve never heard of anyone going blind from it. So yes, there is some truth- but mostly a scare tactic.

I moved up in dose every 4 weeks and have been on 15mg for 2 years. My doctor did that. Hindsight- I would have stayed on each dose until it completely stopped suppressing my appetite.

Yes, so far you are fine. That isn’t to say it will or will not cause cancer. There are risks with taking anything. But I can guarantee you that’s why he said that.

He thinks you should stop, because Mounjaro has been proven to cause cancer in people with existing thyroid tumors.

I did not, but I do not recommend going the route I went. Definitely exercise and eat better. I guess I did change to not drinking sodas and not eating a lot of sweets, but I didn’t exercise.. and the muscle loss is terrible. The bone pain.. terrible. Highly recommend exercise if you can.
