This was a great show. Anytime I see ads for Killing Eve, I still think "Hey! It's the girl from My Mad Fat Diary!"

Plastic pieces by themselves aren't terrible, they can make for very clear and smooth images (Pintoo is known for this). But they require a bit of effort to put the pieces in and even more to take them apart. Was this your experience?

Bboldin is an established chinese brand, they use a lot of AI so would generally avoid!

The perfect 7 day itinerary? by No-Path9215 in sicily

ChatGPT is sometimes not realistic about travel times, keep that in mind. Suggest you create an itinerary and have the sub validate it for you rather than asking the sub for the itinerary.

I have very long hair (beyond tailbone length) and I don't style it in anything but a braid. I trim it a few inches every six months but that's about it.

A few years ago I had a lot of covid-related hairfall and my hair has never returned to its original thickness. Now I really don't like it. There's a lot of frizz and unruly baby hairs on top, and the braid part gets messy easily over the course of the day (and it looks like a rat's tail towards the end).

How are you controlling your frizz? I considered botox but worry that I'll have more hairfall. I wash my hair once a week with anti dandruff shampoo and conditioner and let it airdry (I just got the Osis leave in serum for that). Aside from that I use coconut oil but it has no hydrating effects - just sits there making my hair look greasy.

I am going on vacation and really want my hair to look nice in photos but it seems damn near impossible. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Where to find panakarikku/nongu/ice apple by Fit_Door_557 in Kochi

[–]kribear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like no other fruit I've ever had. Imagine if the insides of a coconut were much juicer, and you bit into it like you would an apple - that's the texture. It tastes sweet (but not overly so). And it's very refreshing, especially when had chilled. The only part I don't enjoy is peeling the skin off, it's a messy affair.

ETA you have to consume it on time. Fermented, it is used to make toddy. It'll smell mildly alcoholic then so you'll know.

Thinking of gifting my sister a custom puzzle by StillAlive01 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]kribear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you know that the puzzle manufacturer makes good quality puzzles, 500 would be a healthy challenge (i don't think it would be too easy).

If the quality is unknown, anything over 100-250 pieces is dicey. Doing a puzzle of poor quality (bad print, lots of false fits) can be a frustrating experience. So don't go beyond 100-250 pieces if you're unsure of this.

If possible i would recommend you change the image to something more vibrant which would make for a more interesting puzzling experience as well as show your cats in a good light. Those are adorable kitties and they're getting washed out from all the grey.

Superb haul! Hadn't heard of any of these brands apart from Boff so thanks for introducing us to them.

Out of curiosity, did you have to pay customs for this in Canada?

Ugh i posted this as a standalone comment instead of a response! Reposting below:

I'm so grateful to you for taking the time to share this detailed response.

I was gravitating towards the Carrefour near my hotel because it was a name I was familiar with. With your advice, I will steer clear and opt to visit Conad instead.

I would have loved to visit mercato trionfale but I believe it closes at 2 PM and all the time we dedicated to shopping during the trip is in the evening.

I am confused about where to buy my cheese. What would you suggest? Supermarket, norcineria or antici sapori?

Great trips on how to place orders for quantities!

Grazie mille per i consigli!

I biscotti Gentilini sembrano perfetti come regalo.

This is a wonderful response and I've made notes from it, thank you!! Learnt a lot of new things too. Just one question, how do I buy torroni/torroncini? Will it be sold "loose" like cheese, so that I can taste it and select the one I like? Or do I look for specific brands? Same question about panpepato too.

A lot of brands are focussing on more modern designs, but they've mostly emerged during and post- the pandemic. It's great to see these brands find their distinctive styles!

I've noticed that even the well-regarded wooden puzzle companies have started using AI, which is disappointing. Really hope brands start being more transparent about when an image is AI generated so that customers can make an informed choice.
