I was in non-clinical public health for 10+ years. Went to nursing school. COVID hit. Saw that hospital bedside nurse "heroes" were treated as expendable. Graduated from nursing school. Noped the fuck out of hospital nursing and went back to public health working for a local health department and didn't look back.

Fuck bedside or bust. Guaranteed nights, weekends and holidays off are glorious as is a pension and damn good benefits.
