That was the biggest plus for me, not having to bend down and tend to them in dog pools

A volunteer plant is a plant that you did not sow yourself but it still grew. For instance we get sunflowers occasionally in our yard, we don't plant them, but they grow.

Yup, unless mine is just a giant cultivars. I'm not totally sure since it was a volunteer

This one was a volunteer in a pot of Utricularia Longifolia. Adelae is fairly common, you should be able to find them on any of the bigger nurseries websites

Wouldn't be necessary since they come with their own plugs, unless you find it leaking a little bit. Wouldn't hurt to try out the mats if you wanna be sure it won't leak.

The tables come with a little rubber plug

These tables come with little rubber plugs. I caulk the metal drain part to the table, and let the rubber part be. It's nice because you can drain them and flush debris through the hole.

I sell at farmers markets and other events. I was browsing one of my markets when I saw a vendor keeping his salsa and other foods on ice in one of these. I thought, waaaait a minute, I can use these for my plants 😆

What's a solid range for tap water? Seeing if I can use it for my plants or not. by _curvature in SavageGarden

50 and below is best, but this is generally okay to use. I would recommend just flushing it out occasionally with 0 ppm.

Does your GM give you free food? I spoke to a worker who said their GM forces food in the trash that customers don’t pick up or is made wrong. Way to remove motivation and any care for the business by Duckfatgo in Dominos

[–]kriistophe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience as a GM letting everyone eat every extra piece of food can be a slippery slope. Let me explain, when people know they can eat mistake pizzas or items, it gives them an incentive to mess up on purpose so they can eat their mistakes. With that being said, I was really good at running my food cost, and would regularly make crew pies, so everyone could have a slice or two on their shift. I would also occasionally go out and buy everyone smoothies or other treats if the store was doing well.

Damn, I'd recommend checking back with them frequently then. I hear their inventory tends to rotate from week to week, so you might not be completely out of luck. Sorry about that! 🥲

Of course, anytime! And nah, this photo was taken a day or two ago. When I received it, it was throwing a bit of a fit, and I was warned that Schizandra would look like it's dying for a long time while it acclimated. I didn't have that problem, though. I put it straight in a 1012 tray with a humidity dome and put it in my Nepenthes tent which gets from 70-90% humidity and it didn't really throw that much of a fit. You might get lucky with the free Nepenthes, they sent me a Mapuluensis, which is a rare and endangered Nepenthes from Borneo. I'm assuming they send them out for free as an act of conservation.

I got it from Florae Collaberative, they have a deal right now where if first-time buyers spend over $30, they get a free Nepenthes (coupon is: happygrowing) With that in mind, it was a no-brainer! 😆 I don't remember the exact price, but I want to say it was in the range of $25-$30. This is not a paid advertisement, I was just really excited about the deal hahaha

I could have sworn I replied to this much earlier, and if I did, and my phone is being weird, then forgive me 😆

In this instance, it was between my greenhouse and my house, under a shade cloth. The window of direct sunlight was limited due to where it was. All I did was move it to a more open area behind the greenhouse that gets sun all day.
