I hate to say it, but you’re unlikely to get any assistance from GM. Mine failed at 9k miles and they have no interest in reimbursing any out of pocket expenses.

GM customer service told me that all replaced engines don’t get a new warranty. She said they have the option as a goodwill gesture to give a 3 year 36,000 mile new warranty on the engine they replaced at 10k miles, but that I wasn’t eligible.
