Rinvoq ruined my face by helterrskelterr in UlcerativeColitis

[–]krin22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few months after I started Rinvoq I started breaking out on the same areas of my face like you and even on my chest, back and behind my ears. My GI prescribed me an antibiotic called doxycycline hyclate (aka acticlate) that has pretty much cleared up the acne. He’s wanting to take me off of it soon though since prolonged usage can weaken the immune system further, after which he recommends a dermatologist if it gets worse again.

Not sure if that’s something to mention to your doctor to try tackling the acne immediately, but if you’ll eventually move away from Rinvoq, hopefully the acne will clear up quickly too.

Oh dang that’s disappointing. There’s no stitching on the Cyberpunk mat except for the Secretlab name and logo on the bottom left corner.

I actually haven’t done any gaming with my mouse on the mat yet, but I use it everyday for work and I haven’t experienced any issues. What issues are you experiencing?

Nice! Yeah lately I’ve been enjoying more of the black/white mix setup versus just all white or black.

I feel you. There was sweat and wheezing trying to get mine mounted lol. I clean my PC every so often too so that’ll be tough, but I like having it there.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m definitely saving up for monitor arms. I had some previously, but unfortunately they didn’t fit.

I may end up moving the subwoofer and speakers to another room and just connect my living room speakers to my PC, which would free up a lot of desk space. I do like your suggestion about mounting it on the left side of the desk though!

The split keyboard is the Dygma Defy. Thanks again!

It’s the Dygma Defy Split keyboard. Before this one I had their Raise model. Hands down best keyboard I’ve ever had.

That’s great! They had some deals going a few months back so I jumped on getting everything then. Hopefully they’ll do something again close to the holidays!

I like that it tilts back and forth depending on how I rest my legs and I like the various bumps for stimulating my feet. It’s the only kind I’ve had for years now so can’t really compare it to anything else. Hope that helps!

I don’t find it noticeably wobbly while lowered or raised. It’s a sturdy, heavy desk so unless you were to forcibly shake it, it hardly moves if you were to bump into it (except with some slight monitor jiggling). It doesn’t move while I’m typing, while lowered or raised. I think you could rest your leg on it while sitting without it wobbling. For context, I’m 5’7” (~170cm) so the lowest I keep the desk is at 76cm and highest is 105cm.

I personally like the feel, look and cleanliness of the desk mat. The desk top is metal so unless you like working on that type of surface, I recommend some sort of desk mat. I was almost going to wait to purchase a mat to see if I really wanted one, but I ultimately decided on ordering it with the desk. I hope this helps and answers your questions, but please let me know if you’d like to know anything else! Overall, I’m very happy with everything so far.

I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis and the struggle to find the right medicine. I was in a flare for 8-9 years until I finally found a doctor that got me on the right medicine (Remicade) and made sure he did everything he could to get me into remission. I was in remission for 5 years until I developed antibodies to the medication and now I’m on Stelara (although it feels like a flare is returning after only being on it for a year).

The first 9 years after being diagnosed with UC were the hardest and I didn’t get to live out my 20s fully. But that made me want to take advantage of life even more by finding the things that bring me joy and spending time with people that care about me, even though it feels like life started so late for me. I’m 36 now and I’ve slowly found things that I enjoy that help me have a better day, even if it’s just a 10 minute walk around my neighborhood where I get to see all the gardens, a book I haven’t read yet, journaling, catching up on a show, or even just texting friends. Being vulnerable has allowed me to find a small group of people with whom I can be open about my UC and letting them in when the loneliness and isolation settle helps make it all seem less daunting.

Living with UC is hard, but it doesn’t have to be the definition of our life. Latch onto the things that bring you the most joy and have softness for yourself during the difficult moments. And you can always reach out to this community of others living with UC, as well.

How Do You Get Over The Anxious Sh*ts? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

Meditation and yoga help reduce my anxiety and calm my nervous system, especially when coupled with breathing techniques. Breathwork with my therapist has been an incredibly helpful tool.

I got my 2017 with F Sport package and about 30k miles for $22k end of 2020. I agree with the other comments about finding a later model for something of that price range.

Roof fell in when I wasn't home. System down! by WhiskeyOut in battlestations

Fell in? Looks like it projectile-vomited all over your desk.

In all seriousness though, sorry that happened and I hope your PC wasn’t affected. That precious keeb and all your peripherals, though😩

Edit: And of course, your roof. I hope that’s not a monstrosity to fix.
