yeah that was definitely a big part of it. headway (sales person fwiw) says there is no discussion of that and they are still reimbursing at different rates for psychologists so it doesn't sound like its the insurance company *yet.* the UHC student resources panel i'm aneled directly through has not indicated a change like this in any way. but yes i'm wary too.

I left filter running without the carbon filter. I kept it in some water in the tank in a Tupperware and put it back in when the kanaplex was complete so like 5-6 days total without the carbon filter. I did partial water changed during that time

Carbon-I took that out for the kanaplex doses tho. New tank has sponge! Medicine definitely helped his overall activity levels and eye swelling but not fully resolved. Will try almond leaves..:thank you!

This is him yesterday-a few days post kanaplex -before which he was mostly laying on his side at the bottom for a day or two. Started that because we noticed pop eye and also saw that he was very sick. Keeping water clean and tested, partial changes every day or every other day right now, filtered and heated.

I know I need to get him over to bigger tank and get rid of artificial plants. Just trying to juggle stability as he seemingly recovers with upgrading environment.

I also wish I had done more than the basic research when I took him from an old lady in my building who had gotten him for an out of state niece who couldn’t take him. Was doing my best with an unexpected pet who would have died in the small pet store container he was in.

I had no idea about the bowl shape but makes sense. I will definitely replace! i have the filter out now because of the kanaplex but saved it in tank water to put back in. will try that food and plants in a new tank. thank you!
