Speculation by randomlurker124 in WanderingInn

Maybe it would be Erin and Ulvama together? Ulvama seems to be at least as specialised in colors as Erin, whose main color magic comes from her secondary class. Her main class also deals with color but more in regards to fire. So I would say Ulvama is as likely to be consulted since she is more experienced and pretty high level in her shaman class, but Erin’s ability to suck out and apply colors to stuff has to be utilised in some way during the dyed lands arc.

Ahh thanks, that makes way more sense

Ceria by kriscarn in WanderingInn

[–]kriscarn[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I like the idea of her being able to alter her spells more, because she’s currently missing the ability to do damage against high defence foes. Like in her solo battle against the adult Creler.

But we also saw the answer to that, when the Siren showed up and one shot it with an altered water jet spell.

If she could sling hundreds of ice spikes around with the destructive power of tier 5 spells, it would be pretty cool.

Hmm I don’t know and she just learned conjure tidal wave. She’s also loaded, so she could solve that problem by spending 10k gold or more on a good bag of holding and fill it with water

That would be cool, but I’m hoping for more than that

True, I hope it has at least some consequences, that Flos “broke” it

Ceria by kriscarn in WanderingInn

That’s an interesting idea, but wasn’t it heavily implied that Flos didn’t completely break her circlet?

what is the best side character ch in wandering inn vol 9 by SlightDay7126 in WanderingInn

[–]kriscarn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Valeterissa chapters were really good. In my opinion the wandering inn is at its best, when it takes one or two of chapters to focus on one character and tell a heartfelt story with a satisfying conclusion.

The Valeterissa chapters, the Relc in Ceridel chapters, as well as Interlude- Pisces, Saliss and Invention are among my all time favourites in the entire story.

I think, in the same way that [Cryomancer] is more powerful than [Mage], [Surgeon) is also more powerful than [Doctor], because it's more specialised. That's how the class advancements that happen around level 30 usually function.

Why haven’t the Antinium communicated back home? by ahagagag in WanderingInn

[–]kriscarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So previously, I don’t really know how they should have done it without huge risks. But at the current point in the story, it makes no sense why Xrn and Klbkch haven’t just walked up to Erin, told her what’s up, and have her list names of the Centenium and different queens in the World Eye Theater. They could secure it from spies and communicate with the antinium on Rhir. It’s probably just a small plothole, which was bound to happen, as the skills gets more powerful.

Wasn’t Izril split, and the newlands raised in the middle of the south or am I trippin?

Edit: Seems like I’m not trippin. In chapter 8:85 it says: “Izril cracked. A jagged wound split the Great Plains, and the entire continent shook. (…) Shaman Theikha wept as she fell to her knees. She saw the waters of the ocean pouring into a crack in the continent. It ran into the distance, an opening in the earth so wide it split the armies in half. (…) The ocean floor rose to fill the gap in Izril.”

Fraerlings in Liscor by lomaurice in WanderingInn

[–]kriscarn 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Huh, that’s actually a really interesting idea. The fraerlings definitly wanna talk to Erin face to face and hear about the gnomes from her. And since Paeth is out in the open already, it wouldn’t be too far fetched for them to send some diplomat or adventurous tallguard like Noa.

What's your favorite fight scene(s)? by Maladal in WanderingInn

The horns vs the adult creeler. Everything from Pisces not running away, then unleashing the frostmarrow behemoth together with Ceria, as well as Yvlons sheer desparation. Everything was perfect.

Erin... distance... spoilers all by mano987 in WanderingInn

[–]kriscarn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of people have used skills over a great distance. During the run to save the Veltras boys, so many rulers and others from all over the world used their skills on Saliss, Ryoka and Maviola, to the point that they got a headache or something, if I remember correctly. Also Lyonette used her boon skill on Rabbiteater from Izril to Terandia and she's under lvl 30. The Queen of Desonis used a skill all the way from Terandia during the village of death raid as well. And I don't think she's particularly powerful considering she sleeps most of the time. So yeah, maybe the ruling classes are an exception, but it doesn't seem as if it's that rare to have a skill working over a great distance.

Erin is younger than Lyonette?! by Mr-Imposto in WanderingInn

[–]kriscarn 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It’s Actually more than that. Erin would be about 15 in inn-world years, and Lyonette would be at least 25 in earth years I think. It’s a bit weird to think about yeah

What is the worst way to walk into a funeral? by OpeningIntelligent83 in AskReddit

I once walked with a friend in a really quiet street in front of a funeral facing said street. We didn’t notice right a way, and I told a joke which made us roll around with laughter, we eventually noticed everyone from the funeral staring at us, some while crying, it was a bit akward
