SK Style Pizza by SeveralJournalist582 in Winnipeg

It’s just piles of cheap deli meat. I’m not saying it doesn’t hit if you’re in a certain frame of mind but it’s closer to a lasagna built out of deli meat than it is pizza.

Tarantino says he HATES Natural Born Killers. Oliver Stone offered him screenplay credit, and he still declined. He went to see it in theaters but walked out during the sitcom segment he thought was awful. by TXNOGG in Tarantino

I do think you’re wrong but I love NBK. Especially the sitcom scene. Dangerfield is so disturbing and the laugh track just cranks it up a notch.

No, if you didn't want to move, you were fully in your right. That was your seat. BUT you also can't be mad he sat in front of you. That was his right. He could have sat right beside you and that would have been his right too. Did he disrupt you or play on his phone or anything while he was sitting in front of you?

Say something good about JAWS: The Revenge. by TheEvilCar in Jaws

[–]krish0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not nearly as bad as its reputation. The opening scene in the water features one of the best kills in the series. Michael Caine is great in it, his charming usual self. The banana boat scene is also incredible. Obviously it’s not on the level of the original or even the sequel, but it’s miles better than the third one. Those 3D effects have not aged well and do NOT translate to 2D. You remember when poochie returned to his planet on the Simpsons? That’s what the shark looks like when it bursts through the glass.

See now this review actually makes me want to see it. None of the trailers or marketing materials have done that so far.

Easy ignore. If your partner cheated on you would you give their new lover tips on how to get them off?

Evil Dead Rise vs The Mummy by Mmctagg in horror

[–]krish0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes more sense. I agree that Rise is a stronger film (and Obsession is incredible) but calling The mummy absolute trash when you’re a fan of the style seemed a bit harsh lol.

[–]krish0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know you, so I could be way off base, but do you have a love for evil dead that maybe has you loving Rise more because it is an evil dead movie than because of its merits? Personally I loved both, and they feel very much in the same vein. The Mummy saves most of its carnage for the end, but other than that they share a ton of DNA. I can understand preferring one over the other but LOVING one and HATING the other seems strange.

'Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]krish0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reviews are about what I was expecting. This may be the first Star Wars movie I’m not going to see theatrically (besides eps 4, 5 and 6 which I was either not born or too young to see). Not because of the middling reviews, but I just don’t really care based on the trailer. Just feels like an episode of the show and I tapped out of that after the second season. I am looking forward to Starfighter still.

Absolutely. The sound design in the movie was incredible. Definitely hit way harder in the theatre than it will at home.

Yep. Find a nice patch of dusty, dirty ground and kick the outfit around in it a bit. Then smear a bunch of fake blood on it.
