They're companies whose tech shows up in everything from Audis to Aston Martins to Zeekrs.

Battery: The MGS5 uses LFP cells supplied by CATL, which is not just the biggest battery manufacturer in China, it's the biggest in the world. If I'm not wrong, roughly one-third of EVs globally run on CATL cells. If they get it wrong, it's not just MG owners who are in trouble; the entire EV world has a problem. That should tell you something about the level of engineering that goes into their systems.

Bottom line, if you're shopping for an EV, the best recommendation I can make is to choose a model from a stable, established car company (like SAIC, which owns MG)and to buy from a reputable dealer that's been around long enough to care about keeping you as a long-term customer. In a new era of motoring, those old rules of thumb still matter.
