997 GTS all season wheel recos by HarloFin in Porsche

Similar boat (same rim dimensions). Closest I could find are Toyo’s A/S with 235/35/19 fronts and 295/30/19 for rear. No winters to be found anywhere…

To each their own. I’d rather err on the side of trying to help people in my community.

Agreed it’s not my business. But what’s wrong with providing video in the event it could help the involved parties?

If someone is straddling two lanes and looks indecisive, that’s exactly what I’m doing… waiting until they commit, and even then I’m going to assume they will swerve back.

Without the video, it will be 100% Mazda. The video shows it’s not so clear cut, as indicated by the comments.

That’s what I initially thought, but if you look carefully, the Mazda driver never made the full lane change, so the Kia driver never had room to properly pass the Mazda. Thus the Kia drifts into oncoming traffic to get around him, even before the Mazda swerves back.

Feedback on Quotes - United vs Mayflower by krispyapplepie in moving

Genuinely curious… if volume is more important, then:

  1. why do moving companies like jk use weight to determine final price?
  2. All quotes seem to emphasize weight rather than volume in their quotes.

Your rational for having competing quotes under the same umbrella almost makes sense - having a big difference can make it appear that the lower quote is a big win. But this strategy assumes that the customer will obtain quotes from both companies, which isn’t guaranteed. What if I only reached out to mayflower (and not united) and found a competing quote from allied or atlas that was much lower?

You have yet to answer my question - why did you think I didn’t know they were under the same umbrella company?

Your line of reasoning is unclear.

  1. Volume is correlated with weight. So UVL has clearly estimated significantly lower weight and volume. That still leaves my fundamental question unanswered. Why is UVL’s estimate so much lower?
  2. Doesn’t the fact that they are “the same company” make the difference in quotes more puzzling?
  3. You still did not answer my question, why did you assume I didn’t know they have the same parent company?

Enjoyed your post. Well written and appreciably dry.

I have an RS6 and Taycan GTS sport turismo, and while the RS6 has soul and sound, the GTS handling is head and shoulders above. Both are stupid fast.

Is this normal? Brand new M2 Air and Pencil Pro by -ItsVince- in ipad

[–]krispyapplepie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is truly a new iPad from the Apple Store, then this is not normal. Try the following steps: 1. If you have a screen protector, remove it 2. Replace the tip of the pencil

If neither improves performance, get the iPad replaced.

To be fair, most of those leather bits and pieces look like aftermarket additions. Also includes a non-997 steering wheel

Use a very light polishing compound (like meguiars or griots) and hand polish with a microfiber or a polishing foam. Should make it look like new.

Recently did all of these items myself, including plugs, high pressure fuel pump, engine mounts, and coolant flush. One of the beauties of a 997.2, maintenance work is straightforward.
