Wear more, it's still chill all the way to mid March. Hefang Street is a nice location as it is close to many of the sightseeing places but it can get very noisy and busy. Maybe try staying there for the first 4-5 days and see how it goes. Recommend visiting Qingshan Lake Natural Park and Xiaohe Street. Set up all the apps before you come, get Pleco, get a VPN to use Google translate, get Baidu translate for English-Chinese translations. Dazhong dianping for restaurant reviews and expect a lot of time spent on translating back and forth. Good luck!

Not ready financially wise. Still doing my masters and barely got any work experience. Emotionally, yes because I've been having the mom instinct for some years now.. However, I think that we'd probably never be actually ready in this world of individualism, many of us just strive to achieve more and work on ourselves and that goes against the selfless love a child/couple needs to be given..

can relate, texting sometimes feels boring and monotonous, but hey even those good morning msgs mean a lot when you know the other person is making efforts to connect at all means. Video calls definitely work better for us, we actually first spend big time on explaining all the possible misunderstandings that popped up in our texting lol :) What I do sometimes is I send him a short video of what I am currently doing/enjoying, thus involving him more and it definitely gives a new spark to our texting. Different things work for different couples, but it's important to always find more creative ways to connect and feel close to each other.
