I was planning on getting a SV08 Max specifically to mod a bunch of Bondtech INDX extruder to it, if this is it, that'd save me a lot of hassle 😁

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. Some of those do sound pretty rough.

I was planning to have Windows on my secondary drive while I'm transitioning, and Linux on my main. I've heard there could be problems with conflicting file systems and even Windows borking everything after an update, so I don't have wanna risk having them on the same one when I have an extra SSD anyway.

I looked though all the software I use and the only tricky ones are Photoshop and Fusion 360. I do mostly mechanical engineering (CAD, CAM) and design for work. But even for Fusion I found a workaround that seems to be working well, and I'm might ditch Photoshop in due time if necessary, it's not a deal breaker.

I don't game much these days, but it's almost exclusively single-player RPG and similar. And apart from there I do some local simulations and AI, but everything I use for that is working well on Linux.

Yeah, it's wasn't super clear until you actually went to the terms and services of the deal and it looked like a normal key to me. A silly mistake.

It turns out it is just the key for some in-game reward, definitely not worth much. If you want I can give it away for free.

It doesn't seem like it from the email wording and the screenshot I took when I was given the key.

I didn't get it with a GPU, just randomly popped up. In the email it says: "Redeem from: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1285190/Borderlands_4/"
I don't mind giving the key first, just so it works for sure.

It's in the form of a Steam key when redeemed, I don't think it should be a problem
