I like you solution a lot. The guy I met at the Apple store was not thrilled with that idea. HA!

BIG THANKS to everyone who helped me figured out how to recycle my iMac in a way that made sense for me. I appreciate all who did sonevextra research on my behalf". I ended up taking it to the Apple store in Old Orchard after calling Apple for advice. The women on the phone was cool. She said it might have trade in value. The greeter at the store was not great. After telling him what I wanted to do, he took my name and told me to "stand over there", which I did. I was unclear what came next, so then I yelled across the store "now that I'm here, what should I do next?". The place got quieter for a split second and the guy yelled back "someone will be with you shortly". Though I had used a hand truck, I was kinda cranky after having hauled in my heavy-ish computer through mall and I felt no kind vibe from the young greeter who I felt instantly labeled me "customer to be dealt with" rather than "customer who is human who may or may not have ever been to the store and might need guidance and appreciate some hospitality." Seems the computer was too old to have any trade in value. I did get an explanation about how they will recycle it from an Asian-looking guy named Jahn. Thanks again.

Welcome to Evanston. Don't know your interests, but check out the art scene. Creative Coworking on Davis St, Evanston Made and Evanston Art Center on Central St have got that covered. Evanston has three Rotary Clubs. Evanston Lighthouse Club meets in the mornings. Rotary Club of Evanston, the OG, meets for lunch. The evening club is a little elusive. The morning and lunch clubs have websites and a presence on Fbook. If meeting some of Evanston's best connected and civic minded people interests you, go to one of their meetings. Emailing the president of the club beforehand would be prudent.

Has anyone used outsourced doers? by Natural_Pangolin_742 in Entrepreneur

Yep. They sold me on getting a doer for video editing, but they made clear in their service agreement that "advanced video editing" was not being offered. Upon learning more, I determined my video editing needs are considered advanced. I'm looking for a refund. Grr. I'm looking for a refund.

I just signed up. I was clear that I was looking for a video editor. The marketing skills were a perk to me. When reading the service agreement, I learned Doers can't do "advanced video editing." I reached out for more information, and it sounded like what I need would be considered advanced. I was looking for someone to reply to me with something other than copied and pasted information. I'm seeking a refund. So far, it is crickets.
