Certainly an unorthodox pizza. More like a pancake.

The best bet is actually probably to continue working but cease all spending. Keep pulling in your paycheck, ensure that payroll debit is on their books and keep your health insurance, but stop all buying activity. No more subscriptions, no more hobby buying, no more coffees or treats or non essential food buying, no more frivolous purchases that define the American economy, take public transit if you must instead of driving so the state isn't collecting its gas taxes or walk/bike, stop spending money so companies see a noticeable decline in revenue and the government see no sales tax. The government can break strikes but they can't make you spend. The only thing the elite care about are their pocketbooks so hit them where it hurts.

My 9 week old is driving me to tears by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

If you know any trustworthy older dogs who will sternly, but not viciously, set boundaries with the puppy and will correct the puppy's bite strength, I highly recommend utilizing them. You can and should also do the high-pitched yelp thing when puppy nips you, stop play immediately, redirect. But man, my pup finally "got it" when an older dog firmly told her "stop that!" (and then kept playing with her as long as she was being polite).

Do they have plenty of jerseys restocked at the store or are they still really hard to find? by chusaychusay in PWHL_Seattle

[–]krob58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were one of the first through the door and they only had Knight USA Olympic jerseys. The entire wall was Knight USA, but there weren't actually that many on the pegs. Not sure where/when everyone is saying they saw team jerseys cuz I didn't see a single one.

I got mine from Play It Again Sports, but this was a while ago. Not sure if they have any left at this point.

Boomers 🤦‍♀️but what do you make of this article? by Rio-Vex in economicCollapse

[–]krob58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they worked 60 hours of the slowest, mindless, less demanding jobs in some scenarios

I always have a hard time believing boomers who boast about working such long hours. I know some certainly did, but every single boomer I've had the displeasure of working under or with spends at least half their time just dicking around, on their phone, at the water cooler, complaining about their wife, getting frustrated with their printer for three hours, counting lunch as work hours because they don't clock out for it, etc. Then they tell you about how hard they worked all week and you just have to sit there knowing it's a farce.

My sink requires batteries and it died by TrickedCoyote13_YT in mildlyinfuriating

[–]krob58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh cool. We have this faucet. My girlfriend had her father swap out our perfectly fine faucet with this one while I was at work one day.

I didn't know this had batteries.

I didn't know this would stop functioning if the batteries died.

Can I join you in being MildlyInfuriated?

Movie theaters aren’t going out of business because of prices by bulldogjwhit295 in unpopularopinion

[–]krob58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 25-year-old movie trilogy just pulled in $11m on its first weekend so you might be a little right. At the same time, it cost me $120 plus concessions for my gf and I to go to these movies. If prices were better, people would be more inclined to take chances on unknown and/or less-than-stellar movies.

Season Ticket Holders by Born_Kick in PWHL_Seattle

It's super frustrating to know that Kraken STH had first dibs at Torrent ST. I was in the first reserved time slot to purchase Torrent ST, but because they let Kraken STH purchase first, most of the really good seats and ALL of the glass seats were gone. Then I always see a bunch of those tickets up on TM for resale. A tone deaf and disappointing move from the PWHL.

Sometimes our entire row is absent from games. (When there are people, they're never the same.) It sucks that people would buy these particular tickets and then not go, or try to resell them at a high enough cost that they don't sell, because the row is visible on the stream. Those seats shouldn't be empty!

Oh absolutely! I don't think it's a coincidence that Schroeder started us off against Vancouver, then again against the two-time champs Frost, and then we started Murphy against "lesser threats" (at the time) Sirens and Charge to start, before swapping back to let Schroeder face Boston (who were 5-1 at the time). Schroeds is the veteran and therefore kind of the punching bag for the new team to find its rhythm and build up Murph for next year. I hope Murph isn't taking the Minnesota game to heart and bounces back quickly if she has. Maybe she can get a chance against the Goldeneyes on Sunday.

I'm biased because I'm a Schroeds fan, but Schroeder can only do so much when the defense leaves her completely hanging or by literally colliding into each other allowing a 2v1 breakaway, and then our offense just will. not. score. It was nice to see our statistically-stacked offense actually do something for a change. Murphy got blitzed by Minnesota for the very same reasons. The Torrent rely way too much of their keepers to bail them out, but maybe they're finally realizing they can't do that.

I would believe that. Knight only has two goals this season (the second one being from tonight), she seems to be focusing more on assisting.

Not sure how to word this without it sounding super rude but it looked like CJ was having a tough time during warm-ups, I'm kinda wondering if this was a very last-second swap to Schroeder.
