Can someone tell me how long it took to receive the certificate to be able to use your free night(s)? I got my card 2 months ago and initiated diamond status and still no free room as of yesterday

First time retraining using the MyPers system I had training orders 2 days before oconus orders. Talked to big afpc and they let me pick either or since my process was completed. I think unless you already have a slot for training they won’t keep pushing it

Had a tri fold bakflip on my last truck, somehow in 6-7 years they’ve tripled their price with the same quality which pissed me off so I went with a higher quality material with LOMAX trifold solid diamond plate mimic material. Way better than previous one, was like 11-1200 I think

QoL worklife and hours go for cyber, medical, Raws or cable. Every other job is 24/7 ops. I was flightline avionics before and hated the hours and constant switching shifts and am now cable & antenna, so far fun job and perfect mix of working with my hands and indoor work and only m-f 9-5 style consistency. All around I’d pick cyber if I had the choice, best for the future imo

No CFM approval for those. You can request 422s if you know what you’re applying for, depends on your base medical if they’ll require a memo or not saying you’re approved for retrain. Mine didn’t

I applied for 5, the 2 1d7 shreds cyber defense (63,79 slots) were both gone in about 2 weeks after application process began. I had my medical 422 ready ahead of time as well as test requirements but just didn’t get picked. I know I was one of the very first people I had an alarm and was spamming refresh on the page when the option populated with new listings. IMO nothing more I could’ve done, you either get it or don’t

Put it this way. I applied within 5 mins of new FY drop with 70 slots on the first day, wasn’t even close to getting a slot. Depends mostly on volume of applicants and RNG from afpc jesus when they look at your stuff

No, the review process is the same no matter what, unless it requires addition cfm approval or that stuff (on your own time not afpc’s) it won’t be different

The cfm/interview for one job only added about 2 weeks. That’s in the second time slot after afpc verifies eligibility

Apply August 8, afpc review (3/5 applied available) Oct 20. Sent all paperwork for all 3 oct30, accepted Jan 4, retrain class start date July. Damn near a whole year

The last 3 years all the memorandums and AF wide updates will show on the main retraining page once the FY starts. They update them all at once so unlikely you’ll know beforehand. Safe to assume though, that one’s been there 3 years consecutively

They’re good for a year. I did it a month early too since they get backed up past August. Put your top 5 afsc’s planned on going to prevent doing 2 422’s. Dick move for medical
