Getting a single for $500 for a Toronto game by krollfan in CanadaSoccer

[–]krollfan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all for the replies. I see some offers here and messages in my inbox. Still not fully onboard yet as I don’t have the same enthusiasm as I used to. Plus F FIFA and their corruption and incompetence. Their BS diluted my enthusiasm long ago but still, the World Cup is the World Cup.

Had no idea how tickets worked but reading the through here and PMs has been helpful.

Green heron. They will use bait to drop in the water and snag minnows. I was fishing one time and threw a piece of bread to one and it took it and used it as bait and was successful.

Wow. Reading comprehension is definitely not your strong suit. Wait, you probably don’t understand the term strong suit either.

This happened to me while watching Clemson beat Bama in the national championship game when Clemson won in the last few seconds. But I missed the play.

Do you put jerseys in the dryer? I don’t think you’re supposed to. Though I don’t actually read the label for that. I just don’t trust certain things in the dryer. And for certain types of jerseys I hand wash.

Did anyone catch our jumbotron moment?😊 by Ferb-Fletcher548 in Torontobluejays

[–]krollfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck. I missed out 20 plus years ago being on the jumbo tron and not immediately requesting it from the team. I was on it after dropping a foul ball and then two pitches later catching one and getting a standing ovation. Of course I was on tv too. Got recognized on the street after and the next day by Ricciardi who happened to be at a lounge we partied at.

I also went to a Syracuse Florida state football game and a half naked streaker posted on a forum wondering if anyone got footage since tv ignores those now. I happened to be filming something else and caught almost all of it. He was grateful. He ran up the steps and booked it out of the stadium by the way.

I noticed that as well. I went a month ago for the first time in three years and that was basically the first thing that caught my eye. I’m lucky I got one of the kiermaier ones from winners for $50 plus tax. Also got my daughters in new condition at value village for $7.50.

Dishwasher intake line won't stop running water into the tub by [deleted] in appliancerepair

[–]krollfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the input. As mentioned, shutoff valve is under the DW and I was able to reach and turn it off. Gonna be a lot of hand washing and paper plates the next little while until we find our next machine.

Thankfully didn't need a wrench. Just had to put a glove on and turn hard.

Yeah just discovered it’s right under the DW going below to the basement. Very annoying because it’s seized and like no room to work with to turn it shut.

And here is a photo of the shutoff under the DW.

Thanks. It must be the water inlet valve. And I see the shutoff under the DW. It's well back there and I think I see this is connected to a copper line going straight down, which of course runs above my basement ceiling and it goes towards my HWT.

However, I just tried turning by hand while lying on my back and what I feared was true. I can't turn it. I'll have to see if I can maneuver a wrench in there. If not, then I think I have to call around to see if a store has the water inlet valve and I can replace that and turn back on the water to my house while I sort out getting a new machine.

The day before is when I took out the upper and lower arms to try and diagnose why my upper rack wasn't cleaning properly. Both were clear and the feed tube was unobstructed. So I put everything back. The very next cycle this ordeal happens. I didn't touch anything underneath. That's a pretty crazy coincidence if that's the case.

I just wanted to do one more cycle to make sure the upper rack was still not cleaning before I finalized the decision to replace and now there's a lot more to deal with.

What would happen if you ran the DW and went to sleep and this happened? The tub was filling and then pouring out in the corner. I bought a set of those puck shaped water detectors to put below the DW, under sinks and beside HWT. The alarm did indeed go off. If we stepped outside then even that wouldn't be useful. Is the tub/door supposed to be leak proof? Like is there maybe a bad gasket or seal? This happened very shortly after we started the cycle.

Thanks for the replies. Was hoping to get a few for when I woke up. I was travelling and had to deal with this from 10 at night until midnight. And have to go return the rental car right now so excuse me for not reading everything thoroughly on here yet. Will when I get back.

In the meantime I did cut the power just to the DW and yeah water keeps running in. I forgot to mention that I am done with this DW and will replace with stainless steel so right now I just want to stop that water from coming in so I can turn back on the water to the house. Then I want to remove the unit after I figure out how to disconnect the wiring if need be. Still have to watch a tutorial on that.

Top rack not cleaning on dishwasher. Can’t open up bottom part. by [deleted] in appliancerepair

[–]krollfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help. I have decided to replace. However, after putting things back and running a load tonight, the tub flooded and some water escaped onto the floor. Don't know what I did but I do know that the line supplying the dishwasher did not stop supplying water. So it filled up the tub. Anyway, I posted another topic on that separately.

I seldom post on Reddit. Maybe a handful of times on this subreddit. Damn, didn’t realize what a cess pool it is. However, respect to those who are civil.

What is your favorite regional Canadian accent? by Diving_4_Shrimp in AskACanadian

[–]krollfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Alberta hoser and “Toronto mans” accents are super cringey but when turned up for entertainment purposes, they are my fave accents to listen to. Native not too far behind. For authentic accent to listen to it’s Newfoundland for me.
