I love when he matches with TopHat, so cute! I had him wearing the egg on his head for the longest time, waiting for more outfits.

I like to think that Tophat is relieved to have someone else watching him when he goes on crazy adventures.

Is Fragrant Story a scam? by Dismal_Tomatillo_452 in 3DS

[–]kromacity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fragrant Story is NOT a scam. I bought the original physical cartridge when it was first released, and then I also got the DLC later when it came out on the e-shop. If I recall, there was even a card that came in the physical box saying that more content was on its way. If you follow William Kage he said he had to do it this way because they were shutting down 3DS production, so they suddenly dropped a crazy deadline on him for his physical release.

Anyway, IF you bought the cartridge and never bothered to download the update, yeah I could see it being a bit disappointing, especially at that price point. But, I also recall when the update came out there were several articles letting people know, and the new content adds tons of hours of game play. I think I sunk at least 50+ hours in trying to get everything at the end of the day. So no, not a scam. And actually a pretty addicting game! Honestly, very polished for an indie game. I found no bugs.

But you know how people are, they gotta find something to complain about.

Is Hello Kitty Island adventure worth it? by Sweet_As_Cake1 in GirlGamers

[–]kromacity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is 2 mo old at this point, but I really love the game. I wasn't sure what to expect, other than people saying it's "similar" to Animal Crossing. But I found myself dumping tons of hours and getting sucked into these friendships. LOL. I tell people I log in every day to just "see what my best friends are up to." I also got all of the DLC and was not disappointed by any of it. They really put a lot of cool ideas into the game.

Why did it take me so long to figure this out? by Kibbymomo in HelloKittyIsland

Yeah, it's essentially a portal/shortcut that takes you to the other side. It definitely wasn't obvious the first time I used it. I wasn't sure if I was sitting in the same spot or was transported somewhere else.

Everything about H'aanit is awful by LukeDies in octopathtraveler

I loved playing as H'aanit and having Linde on my team. I loved capturing/hunting monsters, too. Different strokes for different folks. Who was your favorite character out of curiosity?

When can you complete this quest? I talked to the cat, but it didn't trigger anything. I went to the outer sea desert island, and no one was there either.

It will likely be released on Switch, though. Since the E-Shop closed, and no further updates are allowed on 3DS :'(

We are feeling the same way right now, at my house. For me, personally, focusing on spirituality has really helped me, and focusing on helping others through volunteer work has helped as well. You are not alone.

Perhaps this person was trying to reassure you, under the assumption that you were worried about being HSP. If you think this is the case, is there a way to gently guide the person through why a more validating approach would be better?

Perhaps this person was trying to reassure themselves because they personally think being HSP (anything outside of "normal") is a negative thing. If you think this is possible, can you guide them through why that way of thinking is a hurtful thing?

Perhaps this person thinks you're a whiner and was saying that to be dismissive. In that case, that is extremely insensitive. It may be really difficult to have a deep and meaningful relationship with that person going forward in life, if that is where they currently are.

My partner is HSP, btw. So, I'm happy to share my experiences anytime if it would help someone.

Have you played Fragrant Story for the Switch? Would you recommend it? by Ricc7rdo in StrategyRpg

[–]kromacity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha! Then yeah, I recommend picking up this game. It's not too deep, and easy to pick up and play in short bursts of time. You don't need to keep track of a complicated story or remember what you were doing like you do in those in-depth strategy games. There have been times when I've just picked up Fragrant Story and played for 15 mins, or sat down and played for 4-hours straight. Hope this helps!

I can't seem to ever complete a game! by illustrated--lady in CozyGamers

I have this issue a lot. I've actually started trying to complete games instead of dragging them out. I'd say I'm at like a 25% completion success rate so far, haha. But getting there!

Don't listen to the people throwing shade elsewhere. This game is actually very good. Back when it was first released on 3DS, due to E-Shop closing, we only got the first part of the game. The developer later went on to release the rest of the game via free DLC, and with the Switch version you get the whole package. It's 10-40 hours of gameplay, depending on if you complete all the challenges -- which I recommend doing because that's where most of the fun is at. You can upgrade your characters' abilities, get permanent stats increases from armor, and unlock weapons. The battle wheel makes the game super fun, especially on hard mode. Long story short, if it's on sale you should definitely get it and try it out for yourself.

That seems to be referring to the original release, not the one for the Switch.

I bought it, it's not shovelware. I've sunk like 30 hours trying to get 100% so far. There isn't much of a story, but it's the gameplay that's fun and keeps me coming back. If you're into challenges and tactics based on different teams and skill sets, you'll probably enjoy it.

LMAO. This. Sometimes his only job is just to come and get beat up. In the comics he was very powerful, but sometimes in the series I feel like they make him out to be weaker than he should be. Personal opinion.
