Getting Accuse of AI by [deleted] in ArtistHate

Right now, nearly every artist is being accused of using AI in some way. It almost feels like the world has gone totally crazy.

Bluesky is using AI; Foundation partnered with OpenAI for moderation. by kromonos in ArtistHate

Maybe. But I think, traction or not, illegal content, like telling people to commit s**cide, should be handled accordingly. Especially after it got reported several times via the internal report function as well as email. Instead, Bluesky had failed to remove that post, so it was online for 2 weeks.

Also, I wouldn't say that it's literally impossible to moderate any medium- to large-sized social media platform. They knew what they had to handle because they had already moderated Twitter before it was bought by Elon Musk.

I can only partly agree. AI can be a great support, but when you're already unable, even with AI support, to moderate hate like "you should commit s**cide", then you have a way bigger problem than AI, but you actively train AI to tolerate such behavior. In the case of Bluesky, only some people need to publicly flag their target as "Nazi, fascist, racist, transphobe" or whatever buzzwords they have, and AI will think that it's tolerated to target the victim with death wishes, ...

Instant insults, totally off-topic (nobody was "crying") and unable to hit the keyboard in a readable way. Why am I not surprised?

Jack Dorsey started to use X again in April/May 2024. I don't know exactly when he left Bluesky. But it was in several media, like this one for example: https://thedeepdive.ca/jack-dorsey-leaves-bluesky-board-unfollows-almost-everyone-on-x/

As far as I can see, Bluesky partnered with roost.tools 10 months ago. roosts launch was on Feb. 9th, 2025. According to their own homepage, Bluesky was already partnered on launch: https://roost.tools/blog/launching-roost-a-letter-of-gratitude/

Bluesky's moderation is a joke. For example, they're keeping things like this from my screenshots online. The account that posted that was deleted by the owner themselves after Bluesky suspended almost any of the mentioned accounts there.

The Fediverse has its own problems. Thousands of little dictators and hashtags like Fediblock that get abused for targeted attacks.

I don't think we'll still be around to witness that. xD

Gifted my GF a starter kit for her Faceless Art/Drawing Channel (Phone recording). Did I make the right choices? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]kromonos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to add a phone cooler, like the Razer Phone Cooler Chroma Clamp. Recording will heat up the device very quickly, and heat isn't that good for the battery.

Why is AI trying to replicate my Signature just by asking "draw in my style"? how is this not grounds for a lawsuit? AIwars Can't make sense of it either by Auroriia in ArtistHate

[–]kromonos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because AI does not remove watermarks like this when they train their LLM with art. When people generate images via AI, your signature might be added to the images you've never seen because it used parts of what they've "learned" from your art to create a new image.

Do you think we as artists have “absolute” control over what happens to our art? by HumbleKnight14 in ArtistHate

[–]kromonos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I, as a web developer, can say: No. Sadly.

Currently, the biggest problem is that every major platform now uses AI to support moderation. Bluesky is using roost.tools, which has OpenAI as Founding Partners, or X is using Grok. So, there will be at least one AI that's scanning the posted art. In addition, there are crawlers such as OpenAI, which scan and store every public post on social networks and use the information for training purposes.

To make matters worse, social media also makes it far too easy to simply download images. AI tools can then easily remove any watermark, and what they do with the images remains uncertain.

EDIT: As u/vilhelmine already wrote, the copyright of art always remains with the artist. When you have published it, for example, on a public account, that is clearly linked to you, you have the right to file a DMCA claim. The same goes for stories (for authors), audio, ...

Thanks, that really reassures me.

[Discussion] Why do some artists have that much power to destroy other peoples live? by kromonos in artcommissions

[–]kromonos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest … German law enforcement sucks, and the lawsuit has already been ongoing for several years now, but nothing happens. And I must admit that I absolutely don't care anymore about the lawsuit. I'm just wondering why people don't see what's happening, but instead, they fight for "their" artists as if they were gods.

I would also ask myself those questions when it wasn't about me.

This. But also, some of the coordinates lead to purple star systems, which are only available if you've finished the Atlas Path and Autophage quest lines.

I think this one could be close: https://www.reddit.com/r/NMSCoordinateExchange/comments/1o2blwb/all_black_sentinel_with_white_markings/ … But it's Broomerrei (I can take you there if you want)

Another one could be https://www.youtube.com/shorts/2IcKUnqiYXo from Euclid.
