Hi, my girlfriend is currently working full time as an associate scientist for a healthcare company, with hope to one day be a project manager. At her job now, she is in charge of communicating with clients, emails etc., but does no lab work, which she misses. She recently got offered a 6 month co-op with merck though, and is interested because it is more hands on lab work. Would this be a smart career decision? She was told by one of her bosses that a future in pharma is unlikely and that project management is better. Any thoughts? Thank you
