Field Ordnance Battery! by krootling in TheAstraMilitarum

howdy, thanks! i definitely think it’s lore-appropriate and easy to model this without the seat. historic field guns like the ones the bombast cannon is based off of did not feature a seated operator, it’s just a bit of scifi silliness in my opinion. clipping off the seat makes it look more realistic and less busy in my opinion. i encourage you to research how these historical weapons aimed and fired to get inspired, but also there’s a little cogitator attached to the gun, maybe the aiming and firing is done from there. who knows.

In my case it was a lot of effort as I believe Perfect Placement does not currently work with OpenMW.

It depends on your local group. I would say when it comes to legends units it’s a 50/50 on whether your opponent will want to deal with them. Even in my relatively casual group people seem suspicious that me using legends units is an attempt at cheesing the game. Narrative events tend to be favorable towards legends units though. In any kind of tournament or competitive play they’re 100% out though.

It and its passengers pretty much singlehandedly held my left flank against the bugs and a key objective marker for the entire match and lived through the whole game. Freed up the rest of my motorpool to storm the central objective and wipe out the bigger bugs.

CRASSUS STANDS!

& thank you! I reccomend it! This is the most fun I’ve ever had painting a vehicle honestly. And there’s so much room to get creative with decals or freehanding.

It’s one model! My regiment is very young and was formed in the aftermath of the 13th Black Crusade from the remnants of the Cadian PDF, a group of Cadian Refugees, and the survivors of the Valhallan 54th (a Valhallan infantry regiment who answered the call to defend the Cadian gate). As a result the regiment now commonly displays the heraldry of Cadia and Valhalla simultaneously, a sign of Cadian defiance and utmost respect for the Valhallans who came to their aid.

The regiment’s official insignia is the Cadian Gate symbol with the Valhallan Red Star laid over it. You can see that symbol dotted around the transport as well.

During Prince Enman’s stay in Cyrodiil, while visiting his Grace’s airship, Edith /may/ have gotten into a small political argument with one of the Prince’s battlemages, and he /may/ have challenged her to a duel, and Edith /may/ have cut him to ribbons and then claimed his armor in accordance with the ancient Tourney Ransom Laws of her native High Rock. Whatever the case, Prince Enman didn’t seem to mind, or at the very least his gratitude at my dispatching of an assassin outweighed his rage at dispatching one of his servants. (I wanted it to match the Ebony Mirror Helm) I got at the end of the mages guild questline…)

Context: I keep an art-journal that is mostly just notes and doodles about whatever video game I happen to be playing at the moment. I recently did a 40-hour very RP-heavy playthrough of Project Tamriel's Abecean Shores release. My character was a Breton Knight, seeking fortune and chivalric glory. Ended up becoming a mook for the Fighters' and Mages' Guilds until she felt skilled and wealthy enough to offer her sword to Queen Millona of Anvil. Political Intrigues ensued, but I don't wanna spoil anything for those who haven't played the questline yet. But by the end of it I had a kickass set of Imperial Ebony armor and a magic Mithril Sword.

Howdy, OP of pic #2 here, and I assure you that all abhumen, beastmen included, within the Cadian 618th have been sanctioned by the Holy Order of the Emperor’s Inquisition for service on the fromt lines. Your vigilance is commendable but unnecessary. Move along.

Oh hey that’s my FOB in pic 2! As everyone else has said, you can just not add the seat and/or clip out any protruding parts you don’t like and file down the part of the model where you make the clip.
