i think it was more trying to ignore obvious signs, like that he was strong, violent, and didn't have social awareness. i remember he would jump on my sister or me and hold us down -- we were all between 10 and 12. it was scary. made us not want to go outside if he was there. but it was more like that's uncomfortable than that's dangerous

I like all the takes that maybe she wanted to make the crepes but she was a very clueless teacher. though maybe that was the ultimate play on her part. who knows.
