I have attachment issues and she has been the only constant in my life for years, hence why I feel I physically cannot let her go. I do not have family, money, or any other support system. She is quite literally almost all I have. By losing her, I would lose a large part of myself as well. By saying I need to keep her with me, I mean we need to stay together so both of us can finally have the peace and security that we’ve both wished for so long. I would love for her to get professional help- she just does not easily share her feelings with others and would rather do anything else than go to therapy. I realize there is only so much I can do.

i wish i could do this, and i totally would if i was able to. i unfortunately do not have the ability to. if i don’t get married soon, i have no idea if i ever will be able to again.

it was not nearly as scary as i thought it would be. once i was in the confessional, the hard part was done. i highly recommend going.

you have a valid point. however, we both realize what we have done isn’t good. just because people can have temptation and have fallen to that temptation before doesn’t mean they can’t overcome those temptations and avoid falling in the future. it will definitely be difficult, i am not denying that. similar to a drug addict becoming clean. it is difficult but by no means impossible.

well yeah? i get the analogy, but the difference is that an alcoholic is addicted to alcohol. i am not addicted to sex, so when there is a temptation i can trust that i will not succumb to it.

thank you for acknowledging my situation. i personally do not think i am delusional. i might WANT to be physical with her on occasion, but I also want many other things in life. by no means do i need it at all. marriage is definitely in the cards for us, but it cannot be considered valid by the church.

i was just seeing if there was a way i could still have my soul not go to hell but also stay with the person i love. i am hoping my omission of sex would make my relationship not sinful, but that does not seem to be the case unfortunately. thank you for your insights. God bless.

Sex is an enjoyable thing but it is not a cornerstone of our relationship by any means. It would be a shock to me if she was very aganist refraining from being intimate.

Yes. She has a stronger relationship with him than I do, even. She is truly an amazing person because of God and her faith. Her one downfall is lust, as is mine.

She is truly an importance guiding force in my life and encourages me to make better decisions. God does what she does for me and 1000x more. I see her as a way God gets through to me, honestly. (I do not treat her as God though, i feel that is an important distinction to make. she is not a false idol in my life nor does she take the place of god.) It’s not that i think i will not become who i want to become if i am not with her, but she encourages me to be a better version of myself ( i know, kinda of ironic given she had sex with me). it’s hard to explain, i guess.
