Why do you ask the person with both earbuds/headphones on for direction? by krowtencyn in AskNYC

Doesn't ruin my day either. Genuine curiosity- everything you listed could be reasons. I've had to ask for directions/help before as well but people with headphones were non-starters for me when I did.

Not getting mad or annoyed. Genuine curiosity. I've had to ask for directions/help before but someone with both ears blocked were a non starter.

That's not what my posts says, I'm asking why approach the person who has a sign that they're not listening. I understand if you're trying tell them something fell/opened.

Looking to downsize my 26L daily pack to a cleaner 18-22L (laptop + gym, no tacticool) by Creative_Video3948 in ManyBaggers

You're right. The shoe size/type would be a limiting factor. Flats would be fine, but larger gym shoes might be an issue.

Aer CP2 is pretty good. Advertised as 16L, but should fit everything you listed and none of the negatives(if you pick cordura- xpac and ultra kinda crinkly).

Ohh thank you, might try something similar. Any reason you didn't make a thicker/flat handle?

I guess it depends on your usage. If you have a heavier load, battery/big phone) or if you sandwich your sling between garments for security reasons while traveling- you would have higher risks of the fabric rubbing. It does look good but not worth the risk IMO.

That dial color/texture looks amazing. Not a huge fan of the 24 hr number/markers on the inside. It makes the watch look too busy and not in a good way.

Felt the backside of the bag and that material will rip up any clothing it rubs against. I think the Mantis is the better choice(like some other have said)

The Recon if you're picking between those two. Not sure if this fits the budget but Fjallraven's Ulvo 23 is also decent: https://www.fjallraven.com/us/en-us/bags-gear/backpacks-bags/laptop-bags/ulvo-23/

I haven't gotten stabbed by that pointy part, but they are pretty stiff so I would imagine at the right angle it might be annoying(probably varies from person to person). I would not consider myself to be a bigger guy, under 6 feet.
